Anyone just back? Lovebug report?

We were there Sept 15 - 22 last year, and when we got there we noticed them. By mid-week, the were horrific.

Give them another week. :)

Were leaving Sunday and will arrive in Disney on Monday (17th) so i am keeping fingers crossed as well that there will be little to no love bugs during my 7 day stay! I dont mind a few but SURE dont want alot!:thumbsup2

I'm just sure they're going to show up especially for us when we arrive... I'm keeping my fingers crossed though!!!

Oh great if they're starting to come now, they should be in full swing next Friday when we arrive :scared:

We were there in May and they showed up more towards the end of the month. If I remember correctly, some were surprised that they were staying into June - maybe their schedule has been pushed back a bit? :)

Hoping you guys all get bugless vacations!! :goodvibes

subscribing...I go September 30 - Oct 6 and now I am freaking out!

We're going the same time. I know the other posters won't want to read this but maybe by the time we get there they'll be gone or at least not a lot around. We went the first week in October a few years back and I don't remember seeing many at all. In fact I was surprised to read about the lovebugs because we've been in May & Oct & I don't remember seeing a lot of bugs period.

In 2005 we didnt' see any. In 2006 we just caught the tail end of them... maybe two days worth. I've still got my fingers crossed!!!

Just worked in the yard. Not a lovebug in sight! Lots of lizards!

Im about 90 minutes north of Disney, but I have yet to see the first lovebug this year.

Guess all the lovebugs must be loving the coast, saw more this morning while shopping in the DB area. Hopefully this means they'll stay behind when we leave for WDW.

:mickeyjum Can't wait to see Mickey again!!

I just posted a new thread about this topic. They're here! I was at DTD today and saw several sets of lovebugs. It looks like they have arrived. Sorry!

Probably someone asked this already but how long do they stay? Thanks for the info.

My SIL who lived in FL her whole life says they stay up to 2 weeks. Hopefully they won't be as bad as last year. Looks like they will be gone in time for our trips :goodvibes .
