BaciBecky,
The weather here gets hot in May and stays hot through September. Today is the first day I sent my son to school in long pants, and he will probably be hot by the time his class hits the playground. The weather is mostly mild (by Boston standards) in the winter - more like Fall in the rest of the country.
Summer is LONG and HOT. Houston is the most air-conditioned city in the country for good reason. In summer you are either indoors, on your way to someplace airconditioned (car, mall, etc.), or in the water. I must say, however, that this time of year is wonderful!
Lowest airfares to MCO are around $180; low to mid $200's are more common. Continental flies nonstop from IAH, Southwest has one or two a day (nonstops, that is) from Hobby. All others have a change of planes. Last time we went for our
DCL Wonder trip, we flew Delta via ATL, and it wasn't bad at all, but I must say Continental is my definite preference for convenience and schedule.
