Anyone in the Spring 2008 advantage progam?

I just got off the phone from my interview. I think it went sorta well. The girl's parents live in the same town as me, and her sister went to my university. Weird...

but anyways here are the questions I was asked:

Why I wanted to do CP
best/worst customer experience i've ever had
What qualities i'd look for if I was the recruiter, and if I think I have those qualities
Favorite Walt Disney World memory
What I would do if I was working at a restaurant, we were behind on seating, and someone didn't bring their reservation number

She didn't ask me to read through my role checklist, only asked me which roles I most wanted to work in. (I told her Recreation, Hospitality, & Full Service F&B)

Also, I wasn't asked if I would do Quick Service F&B.

Glad to hear that it went well.:)

Yay!! I'll have to write some of those down and prepare some good answers. Did they ask you the restaurant questions after they asked which roles you wanted? Because I am not interested in anything food wise so I would be thrown off with that question. When my roommate had her interview she was audtioning for character so they asked her character related questions.

Did they ask u anything based on ur "resume" of former jobs??

Yea, the restaurant ? was after I said full service, even though I did mention that one last of the three after saying i'd really perfer another specifically! But, yes i'm sure it's role choice related.

She really didn't ask me anything about resume/past jobs. Some of the questions I referred to being in AmeriCorps for my answer, so she asked me about that. But I don't know if she was planning on it or just because I was mentioning it. She also commented on a job I had, but didn't ask me about it. I was never asked about my current job even though i've been there over 2 years.

But then again, I imagine just because they didn't ask me doesn't mean they won't ask you.

just a quick question...if i watched the E-presentation am i still able to go to the presentation at my college? or do they only allow you to see one presentation or the other?

I'm sure you can still go to the presentation at your school. You don't have to register with even an email address to view the epresentation. The only way they know you watched it is if you sign up for a phone interview afterwards and give them the confirmation code that is at the end of the epresentation.

Of course! I did last time I applied. I had to do the E-Presentation because I was going to audition, and then I still went to the one at my school for fun.

you'll be fine!! I'm worried too, not so much about the job and working w/ppl but more so the living situation. I never lived in an apt before, I'm student teaching now and on my own for the first time, experiencing the whole cooking thing but I always had a roommate and that was it. I lived on campus all 4 years of school and ate in the caf so the whole apt thing will be new to me and all my friends that went down in previous yrs went with someone they knew and i'm going alone so I'm hoping from here and facebook I'll make friends before so it won't be as bad.

are you on facebook? look me up, Megan Williams-St. Vincent College and my sn is tennischick2207 :)

ok, i watched the e-presentation and my interview in on tuesday at 11...starting to get really nervous/excited/anxious! just a whole slew of emotions!

OMG interview is in a half hour!!! I am so nervous. So many butterflies in my stomach!! I have everything ready (I think). Got my role checklist, questions and some responses, and my application. Now to just remind myself to relax lol.

Ok so I just got off the phone with Recruiter Brian. Here are some of the things he went over and the questions he asked.
-Pay rate is currently $6.67/hr and he said it will be going up in January, but they are not sure how much yet.
-Went over basic questions from the application.
-Why did I choose to do the Disney College Internship.
-If I was the recruiter, what qualities would I look to find in the applicant? Do I have those qualities in myself?
-Asked alot of scenario questions, like: if I was working at an attraction and they asked me to go to a different location for a day, how would I react; if a guest came into my store and we were out of stock on an item, how would I handle that situation.
-Asked about the roommate situation. How would you feel about living with a diverse environment with people from all over?
-I asked him about Vacation Planning and he said it was VERY high volume. Not so much in sales, but in many guests looking to purchases tickets and packages and you would be handling large amounts of cash and its very fast paced.
-After the interview was done, he told me what would be next in the process. Depending on how fast I get them my role checklist and application, will determine how fast I get a response from them. He said it takes about 3-4 weeks but may be sooner, again depending on when they get your papers.

Overall I think it went well. I of course stumbled a few times from being so excitanervous (new word, I just made it up!) :) But at the end, he said I did really well and that I had an excellent chance, of course depending on availability and my file, etc.

I hope this is helpful to those who had questions. Let us know how your interviews went! Good Luck!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
