Anyone in the Howell, NJ area

The Colonial Coffee Shoppe--just a little place in a strip mall on Route 9 and a favorite breakfast stop for my parents--has TONGA TOAST on the menu!!! I went with my mom the other day and could not believe my eyes. Now, I'm not really a fan of Tonga Toast, but it was still cool to see it on the menu. The waitress was a little clueless about the Disney connection, next time I go maybe the owner will be there and I can ask him about it.
Just a neat little thing to bring a little Disney magic to my day!

I used to live in Colts Neck but now I'm about an hour down the road in South Jersy. I would happily drive an hour for Tonga Toast! Did you have it, was it close to the Tonga Toast that Kona serves? Strawberry Sauce?

I didn't have it--because I don't really like it. But it sounded like the real thing--stuffed w/bananas, coated w/cinnamon sugar. Forgot about the strawberry sauce though--but one night at ihop we saw a family walk in w/their own jug of maple syrup, so I guess you could bring your own, lol!!!
It's just a hole-in-the-wall type of mom and pop place, food was good, it's been around for years but I probably haven't been there in over 10yrs.
I just got such a kick out of seeing it! Like I said--the waitress totally didn't get the connection, next time I'll try to track down how it got on the menu!
