Anyone in NJ/Manhattan area

My daughters and I are going to NYC next weekend to visit my sister who is on a job assignment in Manhattan. Just going for a long weekend. I'm worried about getting from Newark airport to midtown. Normally I would take the train but I'm not sure if I can get from Newark to NY Penn Station. Not sure if that is feasible with hurricane Sandy damage. Any advice?

NJ Transit is running regular trains on the NE Corridor line. It might be a reduced schedule from what you are used to, check the NJ Transit website. That is the line that EWR station is on.
