Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

We are arriving in orlando on nov 29 and will be offsite until the 1st. We have PAP vouchers and are in MDE etc.

My question is about fp's. If we sign up for magic bands then we get to sign up for fp+ use starting on the 1st. But what about fp's for the previous two days if we have magic bands? Its not exactly a slow couple of days and fp's will be needed. Any ideas? Thanks!

This is how I feel also. I originally made personalized touring plans for each day using regular FP, after learning FP+ was being tested at all resorts I modified all of my plans using the FP+ option, now I'm wondering if I should have just left them alone.

I'm sure we'll get them, I just hate the uncertainty.

I don't understand how they are going to roll out this new system without saying anything about offsite people. I haven't seen anything about if offsite people will be able to use any kind of FP once they go live.

DH and I are staying at Pop in Dec but we are going back in July with the family will be staying offsite. I hope offsite still gets to use FP of some kind. It will be a bummer if they don't. It is much cheaper for us to stay offsite in a house with the family.

That'a why I don't buy the whole thing is "live" on December 1. They still need to get it working for passholders, then for offsite guests and day visitors. The entire FP+ inventory needs to be loaded to the new system and same-day selection must be live and all the guides and signs must be made to point people to the kiosks or mobile apps. LOTS to do yet.

I am super irritated. I too feel like this whole trip I have just been online "waiting". Waited fur RO discounts, then waiting fOR ADRs, then waiting fur dessert party, now waiting again. I am sure we will get fp+ and mb... But wish they would just be bloody consistent!!

Haven't been able to customize MB or select FP+ yet - checking in Dec. 1 to VWL. Did online check-in today - still nothing. I sometimes see the greyed out page that shows options saying it's not within the window, other times see the pop-up saying learn about MyMagic+ and FP+. I will keep checking! No email invite yet either.

FWIW - I have a Nov 30th check in so I have been following the November check in's thread. The people who had early check in dates for Nov didn't get to customize MB's or make fp+ selections at their 60 day mark. The only exceptions were for people who already had MB's from a prior trip. Once November opened up for MB's and fp+, some of the people could make the MB's and fp+'s earlier than others. They didn't open all the resorts at the same time. So a person staying at PoP was able to make their MB's and fp+ sooner than someone staying at WL, even if they had identical check ins. And it was very frustrating to see people with check in dates that fell after mine get to make MB's and fp+'s before me.

So if Disney follows the same pattern with Dec check ins that they did with Nov check ins, you might not be able to customize MB's for a little while. FP+ didn't open up at 60 days for the early Nov check ins, either. So it might be the same for Dec. But eventually everyone will get their MB's and fp+'s. It is just hard to wait.

Please let me know if and when you are able to make FP+ reservations past your check out day because we are doing a split stay offsite as well and only the first part of our stay is at POR.

In Sept I checked out on Sept 11 and moved into a suite with my son and his family so I was totally off the Disney grid yet I was still able to make FP+ through Sept 13, I don't know if I would have been able to any farther out than that since that is the evening we left.

Thanks Wood Nymph. I don't mind having to wait, it's just frustrating not knowing when. It would also be frustrating to have others be able to make their's - I know this is all still in the early stages, I just don't want to have limited choices. (Although we really won't be picking any coasters for our FP+ options, so that may help us.)

I actually posted this on the Magic Bands 101 thread so sorry for repeating myself

We are checking in to AoA on November 30th for three nights before switching to VWL for eleven nights

We have 'Will Call" PAP tickets and everything in linked correctly with MDE

About seven days ago the option to customise MBs appeared for us, so we did just that and added our shipping address. These MBs were linked to our AoA reservation

Yesterday was our 60 day mark and at this point we were able to make FP+ selections for the full 14 days of our trip

So the AoA customised MBs have been showing up in my account for a full week - I know this because I keep looking but this afternoon they just disappeared into thin air - all our FP+ are still showing though

I called the tech helpline and spoke to two different CMs who told me that I should never have had the option to customise our bands as it was too early and too far in advance of our reservation

I even have a screen shot that shows our bands and says that they have been successfully customised but the CMs maintain that this should never have been an option for us - very odd

I'm just hoping that they magically re-appear closer to check in

Ugh, I know! I'm just going to sit back and either:
1) Wait for an invite via e-mail
2) Wait until 10/31 which is my last day to customize and then I'll be able to see if they will actually ship my MB's
3)Try again in about a week to obtain FP on MDE
4)Wait until check in and get the MB's

I am checking in to POR on nov. 27th and fast pass+ is available on MDE. I never got an email but I checked last week and I was able to pick fast passes

We have a MYW package booked for Dec 29 checkin...10 day TIX for all of us.
There's five in our room, so I'll probably link all five of us to the FP+ when it shows up, and then grab some spots...BUT...(you knew there WOULD be a but...)...I have an AP EXCHANGE CERTIFICATE that can't be used for anything MB/FP+ yet, not until activated at a GS location at WDW. My question is: Will Guest Services be able to transfer my FP+ reservations to my new AP once I get the actual AP there? (I'll just have them pull my unused 10-Day off, and save it for another trip.)
Whew, that hurt my brain.

But when I went to make fastpass+ selections it gives me a message that it is not within the dates but it won't let me select a different date then October. I have tickets linked and am within 60 day. Anybody else checking in in December able to do fastpass plus today or is it not open yet

How old was his Certificate?...Mine is from a couple of years ago.

I'm reluctant to try to link it, since CMs have told me it won't work, and would "confuse the system" because there would be 6 "tickets, but only five people. I'm probably gonna go stark-raving mad over this trip! SOOO many changes to our routines of the past few trips.

I have a question about using rider swap and fast pass plus. We are going with a 1 year old so we will be taking advantage of rider swap the whole time. With fp+ do we each need a fast pass for each ride we want to go on or do we just need one since we are switching. I'm pretty sure we will each need one, that seems to good to be true !

I think you are the first December check in I have heard that can customize the bands.

I have a question about using rider swap and fast pass plus. We are going with a 1 year old so we will be taking advantage of rider swap the whole time. Give you a rider swap ticket that the person staying with the little one can hold, and then when the rest of the party is done with the ride two people can accompany the person that stayed behind with the rider swap ticket,
