Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

We are checking in on Dec. 1. Our problem is we have no tickets yet. Using military and complimentary tickets. So until we get tickets once we get there, we can do nothing with fast pass plus.

Unfortunately that is how the system is working, you will most likely get to customize the MBs but without tickets cannot book any FP+

I remember reading here that someone was able to see their online check in day on MDE. I looked all over my reservations yesterday to try to find that. I could not see it. Where do I find online check in or the date I can do online check in on MDE? I want to be ready. I know I still have a couple of days before my 60 day mark, but I want to know where it is so I can do it ASAP when it opens up.

If you log into MDE and click 'My Reservations' you should see your resort info listed
If you click on 'show details' it will open a pop up window with details of your reservation and the last line of text tells you how many days until you can check in
On the main 'My reservations' list, when on-line check in opens for you there will be a Check-in-now link under the reservation number

I think the reference in the original question was to the MDE app. If so, I agree that this info is not provided on the app. You need to login on the full website.

I am checking in December 1 and after I checked in online I was able to customize magic bands even though my link still says manage and not customize. But when I went to make fastpass+ selections it gives me a message that it is not within the dates but it won't let me select a different date then October. I have tickets linked and am within 60 day. Anybody else checking in in December able to do fastpass plus today or is it not open yet

You were the first! Congrats! Can you tell me please what happened when you clicked in the manage bands link? It went to a different page than that one that tell us to link tickets?

Just so you know, I don't think you have to do online checkin to be able to customize magic bands. I didn't do online checkin for my brother's reservation and I was able to customize his magic bands for him.

But when it's 60 days out the online checkin link will pop up.

That is correct, you do not need to do online checkin to customize your magic bands. I have not checked in online and I have been able to customize my magic bands and have made all my FP+ choices.

I had the exact same experience yesterday. We also check in on Dec. 1. A few things were different on MDE:

1. The online check in option appeared. Easy to navigate, took care of that.

2. Clicked on "Manage magic bands" and it took me to a new page prompting me to customize. Each person in our party had a section to select the color (which automatically previews with the new color) and an option to revise the name (default is the reservation name in all caps). After customization is done, you are reminded that you can adjust customization until the 30 day mark.

3. Clicked on make FP+ selections...no luck . Half the time I got the old "link up family and friends" rejection box. But sometimes I was sent to the actual selection page. Unfortunately, the default was October dates, and I got an error pop-up, saying that the dates are not in my range. No option to adjust dates...what a tease!

DH called to inquire last night. Was told to just keep trying across the next few days . Will keep you posted.

Are you doing this from the app on your phone or a desktop??

ETA... Wait, so with a December 1st check-in date, you were able to customize magic bands??? That's awesome. Maybe they are going to start with the 60 day rolling check-in process. I already have magic bands from my October trip and I am able to start making FP+ on December 1st as of today, so check again. Today should be 60 days from December 1st, no?

Oh, sorry.. I have a SAP. So, as of now, it's letting me make FP+ reservations 60 days out as long as my pass hasn't expired.

How old was his Certificate?...Mine is from a couple of years ago.

I'm reluctant to try to link it, since CMs have told me it won't work, and would "confuse the system" because there would be 6 "tickets, but only five people. I'm probably gonna go stark-raving mad over this trip! SOOO many changes to our routines of the past few trips.

The certificate was about a year old.

We have 8 tickets for 7 people on our account. Three of us have PAPs, one has a PAP voucher, one has a new, 10-day hopper, two have partially used, non-expiring 10-day hoppers and one of the latter two (my father) has an extra ticket because he has used up more days on his 10-day pass.

Everything linked up just right and I assigned each pass to someone. My father is showing two passes on his profile. I will leave it that way until we arrive at WDW so the system knows he has 9 days of admission for FP+ selections. Then I will simply deactivate one pass until he uses up the other. At that point I will reactivate thug second pass for the rest of our trip. You may not need to deactivate any passes. I just want to make sure he saves his non-expiring days in the event he decides not to do the parks with us every day.

The MB contains no info. It simply has a chip that can access anything linked to your MDE account in Disney's database.

Once the program is fully rolled out, the expectation is that you will bring your band(s) back trip after trip. You will not get a new one with every reservation. That is only happening during testing.

I was only able to check in today, no MB or FP+.
I'm at 60 day mark today, arriving 12/2 at POR.
I wish Disney would just let us do all of it at 60 days.
I guess the Dec. folks are going to get all rolled out together like Oct. and Nov. did.

At 59 days now, still no mb or fp+. I checked into the hotel yesterday, and that didn't change anything.

Hopefully it's soon. I want to get all the little things out the way.
