Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

Thanks for the information. I didn't know all the detail. I guess that the only good thing about going in December is that we should know before we leave on our trips what the fast pass options will be. :)

There definitely needs to be something done about those few popular rides. Even when we were there last Feb the headliners had sold out FP's and had huge standby lines.

I wouldn't be surprised if guests checking in don't receive KTW cards automatically starting next week, drastically reducing "duplication". However- I also believe that should the proportionately smaller group of guests who are more savvy (DIS members Etc) request the back up cards when checking in, they will be provided.

I think it's an attempt to streamline the process and move into "phase 2" by Disney... And the large percentage of guests checking in will be totally fine not being handed two forms of "keys"... Like many other "phase outs" that happen in retail environments... If you don't ask- it's not given automatically, but when requested specifically they are provided.

Just my guess though- at this point it's all speculation.

I will be one asking for KTTW card. I will definitely explain to them that I am paying extra for park hoppers and want ability to pull fp in my parks I hop to. Surely they will understand my position.

The bracelets don't come off! Once you put them on, they get implanted on your skin and the actual chip becomes part of your DNA...

:thumbsup2 can I get one that make me 4 inches taller and 20lbs lighter?

First he said I should only believe what I see on the Disney MDX pages, lol
LOL is right. They would have to actually put information on there in the first place that might actually be useful to someone. :lmao:

I know the rumor said it was supposed to start on the 27th. I check in on the 26th. I'll ask the CM and see what kind of answer I get. LOL

Right now, we have FP+ booked for Sun-Thurs. It won't let me book for Friday. Any thoughts?

When I got to do my fp+ I could choose sat, sun, mon, tue, thur, and fri - BUT NOT WED. I only have 5 day tickets and the xmas party which is booked for Tuesday..??? I had to call and the cm went in a "back door" and choose my rides for me for Wed and to adjust the times on those I went into MDE itinerary and edited the rides and the times....so LONG answer LONGER :goodvibes you can call and they will open up the day for you. Hope this helps :wizard:

Couldn't you just use your physical ticket in the FP machines? I don't think it has to be a KTTW card. Do some people only have virtual tickets, accessed by their bands?

FP+ are done but not seeing Illuminations as an option. Does anyone know if they stopped doing issuing FP+ or is it too early. Same goes for Wishes. Fantasmic was available however.

How long are you staying? I thought I read somewhere that if you have an AP, you can book fp's for up to 7 days in a row. I'm not sure if that is true or not.

AP's here and staying for 13 days. The system got glitchy after 10 days.

For day 11 it insisted that one member of my party had too many days of fast passes. So I made fast passes for the rest and then was able to copy from my to someone else.

Day 12 it did the same thing with a different member of my party.

Day 13 the same with another member of my party.

But in the end 13 days of FP+ was possible.

I've read here that you just get 14days at once after that you have to use some to get more.

... But, he also said they would give me a card or just be sure to ask for a KTTW card, anyone can get one if they ask.,.. :goodvibes

this.

The MDE/magic bands webpages say that anyone concerned about bands and their long range scanning can ask for an RFID card.

I can't imagine they can EVER get rid of that option for a variety of reasons.

So as long as FP- is alive and well for cards things should be all set. In theory they can program the FP- system to search for FP+ and deny based on that, but since it took them literally years to program the FP- system originally to even see if a card was used for park admittance i dont see them wasting any time or resources to update the FP- system right now. But on this I could for sure be wrong.

I "think" if you buy a package through Disney and do MB, you won't receive a physical ticket.

Unfortunately I will not have a physical ticket since we booked a WDW package.

We arrive 12-27, and just a few minutes ago I was able to access the FastPicks via the mobile app and make FP+ "selections". I use the term selections loosely because I can't BELIEVE the limited availability - for instance, it is telling me the absolute only ride available at 10 am on Saturday 12-28 is the Jungle Cruise. Really??!!

I wonder if my being able to access this right now isn't a glitch of sorts. I can't get it to work on the desktop, only the mobile app, and the only park I am given options for is MK.

When I try and go in on the desktop, it lists the parks but then tells me none of them are available for me to select from, something about only select tickets being available for this options.

All highly annoying.

I set up all my FP+s yesterday (check in on 27th too)- and at that point i was shocked how open the system was. A very nice surprise.

Basically you could book your 3 but then if you went to change it, any ride with FP+ was available for any hour window i wanted. It really looks like a pleasure to use at this point. (although the website and app like all websites and aps disney stink to navigate. Why can't i just pick each item myself, why does it insist on picking for me and then me changing... why so many clicks/pages to get something accomplished... etc, etc)

So I would guess anything different you are seeing today is just a glitch.

EDIT- brain hurt. Let me clarify- I have 2 reservations. My immediate family checks in earlier. Then we meet up with my sisters immediate family later under a different reservation. yesterday was 60 days on my first reservations. But i was able to do my family's FP+ AND my sister's family's FP+ even though she checks in the 27th.

I think a very wise read of the situation.

Even if they RFID KTTW cards cost 10 cents a piece that adds up over time. At some point it just makes sense to stop issuing them be default.

I dont think they'll even ask.

"can I also get KTTW cards?"

"sure"

transaction complete.

Exactly.

They won't bring up KTTW cards at check in, but if requested- I'm thinking they will oblige with no explanation necessary.

Also got selected for FP+

2-5 of December (only booked a room, but have AP)

Will I still be able to pull FP's with my AP card? I'm going to be park hopping every day and might need a FP for certain rides not on my list
