Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

When you arrive at your resort you can set up your four digit pin number. Everytime you scan your band or use your KTTW card for the dining plan, you will need to enter your four digit pin.

If you do online check in you set it then. If you forget it they can reset it.

Going Dec 2nd received mb, in two different shipments, one group came on Wed, the second came today. We have 9 in our party, ordered every color except Gray. I called today to see about bog, fp for lunch, and was told that it only sent out to some people and it is not every day. Not sure if that was told to me because she did not know what is going on with it. Have not seen any fp for fireworks or the parade. Has anyone had any luck with these.

I am told that in order to use your MB for your Dining Plan, you need a PIN. This is the first I'm hearing of this.

Where do I get the PIN?

When you check in. Either in person or online.

I made my reservation through dvc and to fix my issue on mde I need my dvc reservation unlinked and then relinked. I was told to call member services...has anyone had success with member services doing this for you? Also if they do this will my fastpass + be messed up after or will everything else stay the same? Thanks in advance

Hmmmmm, What is your issue? I have a DVC reservation linked and I don't have a problem. Here's the thing, one girl on the DVC board had her reservation cancelled and then rebooked, and she lost everything. DVC and MDE don't really work well, or at all, together.

I'd be very leery of canceling anything unless you're absolutely sure that's what you have to do. When you unlink that it could get rid of your FPs and MB customization.

How far out were you guys able to make your FastPass+ selections? I've customized our Magic Bands, but we don't arrive at Animal Kingdom Lodge until Jan. 21. I spoke with a Disney customer service rep -- via a "live chat" box that suddenly popped up, on MyDisneyExperience, without me asking for it, weirdly --- and she said, "Oh, if you've customized, you can do FastPass+ choices NOW!" And I said, "Well . . . no . . . I can't." Is it 60 days before arrival?

Yep, 60 days before arrial. It opened for me right at midnight on day 60.

I've been reading about people changing their FastPass+ selections on the fly, while at the park . . . are people doing that via iPhone or iPad, or what? I have a Kindle Fire, but MyDisneyExperience isn't compatible with Kindle Fire . . . and my phone doesn't seem to support it, either. Grrr.

We are also from Ontario and just returned from our trip on Tuesday
The bands were shipped to our resort and we got them when we checked in

Thanks for the reply! I got my hopes up, because they've shipped me Magical Express luggage tags, etc., the other day --- and then yesterday they asked me to confirm my Nova Scotia land address as the shipping address for Magic Bands. . . . but . . .I guess: No.

Called DVC and they did it for me and FP+ and everything was fine - no problems.

There should be kiosks in the parks where you can modify your selections the day of without a phone or tablet. Where these kiosks are and whether guests have access to them (or you have to go through a CM), I don't know. I tried to do some searching having trouble finding more infromation. The kiosk are mentioned the FP+ FAQS on the wdw page and I know I've seen people mention them here on the DIS.

I have seen the kiosks in several places in the parks this week. There is always a CM standing nearby in case you need help. I was using my iPhone to make changes so I didn't use the kiosk.

I have seen one person in another thread say they got one for Dec 4...not sure if true. I still read of a lot of other people, me included, that can get 11/30 but nothing later.

Just to add to the info out there. I hit the 70 day mark today and Magicband customisation opened for both of my reservations.

The first one at the 70 day mark which is Jan 18 and the second which is a little 2 day stay after my cruise which is Feb 1.

Was able to select all the colors and name it straight away, which I know a few people have had issues with.

I'm a bit surprised I could do this as I expected them to not be available till the 60 day mark. So getting the first one now was unexpected let alone the one for Feb 1.

No FP+ as yet but I assume that won't open for me for another 10 days.

We check in 12/8 and I just received my email that my magic bands have shipped. They should be at my house Monday morning! Still haven't received any kind of email telling me to check in online or customize bands or select FP+.
