Anyone here use Kajeet?

We're looking at adding a line/phone for DS12 onto my cell plan once he starts travelling with Middle School sports teams...and wow just to add a line & texting is $$$!! A friend of mine told me about Kajeet, and says it works perfectly for them. I've researched it online & it seems like a great, affordable solution for DS - but the reviews are mixed 50/50. Six say it's the best thing since sliced bread, half a dozen say it's absolutely the worst cell service they're ever had.

Any comments from Kajeet users - past or present?

My kids both have kajeet phones. Love them! Kids not so much....because they don't have the COOL phones their friends have. Too bad.
My son rarely uses his, so he just does pay as you go.
My daughter uses hers a lot, so we pay the $20 a month 150 minutes/free texting for her.

I have also used the parent controls to turn off DD's phone between 11:30pm and 6am, so that she can't be tempted to talk/text late at night with friends.
