Anyone here remember a tv show called Growing Pains?

I had a HUGE crush on Kirk Cameron, yea, I'll admit it.

I have season one of Growing Pains on DVD, I believe I found it at Walmart.

This was one during the day. I think it was around 1PM right before "Another World". LOL. I googled it and it was on between 1980-1983. That would have made me between the ages of 10-13.

That's funny that they both had a daytime show named after them. And even funnier that we were watching them at age 10-ish :)

Here's an interesting bit of info:

DS had Sever's Disease as an early teen. It's pronounced like "Seaver", the family name in growing pains. It's an inflammatory disease that occurs when the heel bone grows faster than things around it (or some such thing) - "growing pains", if you will.

Ah, I totally miss this show and wish they'd show reruns where I live!

The earlier (pre-Leo, pre-Chrissy) episodes were the best, with Mike being such a smart-***. I used to have a huge crush on Kirk Cameron.

My favorite episode is where Carol's boyfriend (Matthew Perry) dies. Wah!

Brad Pitt was also in it for an episode or two.

But the real question is, does anyone remember the spin-off, Just the 10 of Us?
Loved this show, as well!

Wasn't Just the 10 of Us where the coach takes his family (all female if I remember) to another town/city?

And that's without Googling. :cool1:

It was! They did have two sons, though. One was a preteen named JR and the other was a little baby named Harvey. It mostly centered around the four teenage girls: Marie, Wendy, Cindy, and Connie. They attended the all-boy private school at which their father coached. I absolutely loved Marie and Cindy.

Yes! From what I remember, Heather Langenkamp and two of the other sisters had been in Nightmare on Elm Street movies, and so there were always little references to it.
