DH's company is based in Broomfield, CO. There is a possibility that he could get transferred there. Any recommendations on where we should look for a house? How are the school districts? I know nothing about the area, but we would probably be willing to pay between 250,000 and 350,000 for a house. Doesn't necessarily have to be in Broomfield, surrounding areas within 30-45 minutes would be fine. Thanks for the suggestions!

I live south of Denver, so I can't help you with school district information or real estate, but here's the Colorado Department of Education website with CSAP results (our state student assessment tests).

Best of luck, and if you do move to Colorado, feel free to p.m. me with any questions. We've lived here over 20 years and love it.

Wow, Goofy! That is some fantastic information!!! I'm not totally sure where DH company is located in Broomfield, although I do believe he mentioned something about being near the mall. I'll have to ask him to find out.

Thank you so much...if things end up moving forward, I will definitely be PM-ing you with more questions, I'm sure!

I was just reading that too!

I'm also considering new construction homes. Right now, the only one that I found in Broomfield area is teh Wildgrass neighborhood. A little pricey, but very nice. Have you heard of it? The builder is Standard Pacific Homes. Any other new construction neighborhoods you could suggest? I'm trying to look them up online, but they are harder to find....

I would second all of what Goofy says. We live in a town right next to Broomfield and love it. My kids go to Boulder Valley (BVSD) schools and I work for BVSD school so I'm probably biased but I think the school are for the most part, great. Adams 12 is really improving also. And JeffCo schools are good too. Again, all of this depends on the actual school but don't let test scores be your only deciding factor. Houses are somewhat expensive but again, that depends on the area.

We love it here and I, too, would be happy to answer questions. Feel free to PM if you'd like.
