I had RNY gastric bypass June 11, 2003. It's one year tomorrow and I am down 133 lbs. in the year. It's been an amazing year.

I'm not skinny now by any stretch of the imagination, but I look, well, normal. I'm trying to lose another 30 before considering myself done, but at this point I've been losing 5 lbs. a month. I hope I can keep that up for the next 6 months, but who knows????

This was the best decision I could have made.

I'm a "bandster" here myself I had Lap Band surgery on 1/9/04 and I'm down 66lbs I'm at my halfway point and I feel great and was happy to find this area on the Dis Boards
