Anyone here doing POTD or 52 Weeks?

Just wondering if anyone here is doing a self-challenge Picture of the Day or 52 Week challenge?

This is where you challenge yourself to take a picture each day/and or week and post for comments. The goal is to learn more about your camera by using it on a consistent basis and by the comments you receive.

Anyone else want to join me?

We just had a threat a few weeks ago where some of us listed our daily, weekly, etc. blogs, but with the search function being so spotty...

Thanks Kelly - It's pretty hard to get a decent shot everyday. I think that B&W is a rare gem for me! The rest of January had some pretty lame shots.

I think this project is good discipline to for me. By making the photos public I find that I'm beginning to try to be more thoughtful and creative. I take it a little more seriously than I would if I was keeping them to myself.

I started doing this project as a way to get myself to think more like a photographer, rather than someone who takes pictures. I feel like that is starting to take a little. I've started making notes about ideas for photos when they pop into my head to use when I'm stumped in the moment.

I'm glad there's a few of us doing this. It'll be fun to track each other's progress. Here's a link to that other thread.

I was trying the 52 week thing as of a few weeks ago but I already misse da week I think! Not much to photograph around here at this time of year. Since I have no idea how to blog and use blogging in any way shape or form, her eis my address for whatever it is worth. I can just do the very basic things as of right now and haven't had time to really look into all the ins and outs of blogging.

I am going to start a POTD thread for tomorrow, and each day thereafter.. Feel free to share and start the thread if I don't get to it early enough. Some evenings/mornings are tougher than others LOL

Barrie and Kelly,

A general blog question here. I received 2 e-mails about comments about my pics. One is from you Barrie and I believe the other is from you, Kelly (at least the name in the e-mail was Kelly). I only received one comment on the blog site (from Barrie) but not one from Kelly. Any idea why that would be?

If that is in fact you, Kelly, the answer would be that it is sunset over (appropriately named) Sunset Cove off of Onset Beach in Wareham, MA. Also, thanks for the comment!

Edit: As soon as I posted this, I noticed that Kelly's message was on the blog site. Go figure...

I edited my post above to include that I actually did get it on the blog page as well now. It just didn't show up there for hours after I got the e-mail for some reason.
