anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

Welcome swim-mom!

I'm doing lousy with weightloss, but doing pretty good at weight finding, lol, UGH!!!

Just stay focused- lovethattink! A few years ago I did ww and lost 15 pounds. I got off track and started gaining. Then as the scale kept creeping up I decided to go into denial and stopped weighing myself. Well, I ended up gaining it all back plus 5lbs. This go around with WW my number 1 promise was that I would not throw in the towel. Even if I get off track I will weigh-in every week and count points (even if I skip counting points for a couple days, I know I have to come back to the points way of life.) I think counting points (or some variation of tracking my diet) needs to be a lifelong thing for me, or I will be overweight.

Good luck getting back into the groove of WW!:wizard:

:wave2:

Hi everyone! I've been completely M.I.A. all summer. Where does the time go? :confused3 I hope everyone is doing well....I've been maintaining, so I'm good with that! :goodvibes Kiddos head back to school after Labor Day, so that's my date for regaining focus....:thumbsup2

also, if anyone is interested, peertrainer.com is a good place to go when you're doing weightwatchers on your own. Its a great support group and I loved it. I was only on WW for about a month, because a lot of stressful events happened and I was more consumed with them and not myself...but while I was on it... I love a good 15-20 lbs.

Don't give up!!! I'm here! :wave2: Took the summer for myself, and now it's back on track for me. I'm up around 3 pounds  but that's to be expected with the way I've been eating. :scared: So, now I need to chip away at those darned extra pounds and get back to my goal.

Please - stick around - or come back - or join us if you are new! We all need each other...:thumbsup2

It's raining, it's pouring.... FINALLY! It's been so dry here in CT...we need this desparately!

Today feels like a soup day.....Think I'll take some of those garden-ripe tomatoes and make some delicious tomato soup. Low in points, high in nutrients....just what I need to help get me back on track!

Happy (rainy! :yay: ) Tuesday Everyone!

Hey AKASnowWhite- Glad you are back. My weight is up too- and it is such a bummer because 2 weeks ago I got really sick and lost 5 pounds in 5 days (I ate literally nothing for 4 days)- as soon as I got my appetite back and started eating again the weight popped right back on. (I was only eating really light- I was way under points but the scale just kept going up) I guess I was slightly dehydrated and it was just the water coming back into my body as I got better. Anyway- my point is, I was so depressed that the scale was going UP while I was only eating about 700 calories a day that I kind of 'gave up' (just for a few days). I ate a bunch of m&ms and didn't count points- but I am getting back in the saddle today.

Tonight I get to take my 4 year old to Elmo Live- so that is fun. He calls it "Elmo Alive" which is kind of amusing.

I hope everyone else is doing well- we are still here for you!

Well, I started back on the diet and exercise "wagon" and things are not going as planned. I've actually GAINED weight this week :sad2: Now I have to lose 5 pounds to get back to my goal weight! (Darn those lazy days of summer!)

The only really reasonable conclusion that I've come to is muscle gain coupled with PMS. I started really getting back into the weight-lifting routine and I honestly have to believe (or I'll cry! ) that I'm increasing my muscle mass (which is a GOOD thing) and *shedding* the excess fat will come soon. However, patience is not a virtue that I possess...

Ok. Today is a new day. I can do this....baby steps....

Hang in there AKASnowWhite. I am really struggling here too. I have had a lot of stress the past few days and I am having trouble focussing on my plan. I will try for a good day today. I am excited about tonight, my dd(11) has her summer concert. She plays guitar (electric in this concert) and she is actually singing tonight also. It is a big outdoor show at a farm and we are packing a picnic and hanging out on blankets and listening to all the bands from the music school. Now I have to figure out what this picnic should include.

Ok. It's Tuesday afternoon, and I'm still doin' o.k. Not perfect, but good enough that I'm feeling much more in control, and definitely feeling better all around! :thumbsup2

Gonna get my weekly dose of inspiration from the Biggest Loser tonight....can't wait to see the participants reactions when Jillian and her black team show up.....:rotfl:

I just started back on WW again on Sunday.
I've done the "At Home" version where I met my goal weight, fell away and then tried the next two times by doing meetings. Dropped out - I really had a difficult time finding a meeting that I felt at home in - last time I went to 3 different meeting locations and did a minimum of 2 different meetings at each place and absolutely HATED IT!

So I've decided to do the online version - and am very happy to have found you all.

(Joining the online on Sunday made my weigh-in today - I'm up a pound from Sunday! :rotfl: )

Welcome Carrie! Hanginthere AKA- I am doing so-so, decent with eating but no excersise :guilty:
have a good night!

Hi Carrieb :wave2: Nice to have you join us.

TenThousand - I think we need to combine our efforts. I'm an "over achiever" when it comes to exercising - my entire issue is the *crap* that I put into my mouth! With my workouts and your eating habits - we'd be lean in no time! :goodvibes

Keep up the good work everyone! We can do this!!! :cheer2:

:lmao: I shouldn't even write this because it is such a bad message, but 1 of the reasons I haven't been excersising is because it makes me SO hungry. I do need to increase my activity level though- especialy now that I am back to work (after the summer off) I am on butt at the computer A LOT! (Like all day sometimes.)

Now- my weight is down and there is NO explaination for it. I can't figure out what is going on at all- there seems to be no cause and effect as to why and when I lose or gain weight.:confused3 Oh well, I'll take it.

I am going away for 2 night with DH this weekend- he won a trip in a sales contest. It is a nice resort in Virginia so I will probably be eating too much. I really will try to fill up on the salad... and just enjoy tastes of the rich food. My parents, God bless 'em, are aking my 3 kids for the weekend. They are doing it again when DH and I go to Cancun in November (another work trip- DH has the best job!).

Anyway- everybody do what you are supposed to do today!
Goal for the day: stay under 22 points and take a walk.

(Will post tomorrow if I met my goal.)

Onward/Downward!:yay:

I exercise so I can eat more points! :rolleyes1 And unfortunately I work in the farm kitchen at a local orchard where I spend my days BAKING! So, trying not to *sample* all the goodies can be really, really hard!

I did well today until dinner. When a late Cross-Country meet for DS14 meant quick dinner before high school open house - kids voted pizza, which is something I almost NEVER do. But, I ordered pizza when I headed home from the race (45 min. drive with the rush hour traffic), picked up and had just enough time to eat a bit before rushing out again. I'm going to pay for that tomorrow, I'm sure. :sad2:

Oh well - tomorrow is another day. Another work-out, another opportunity to make the RIGHT choices, not the EASY choices...

Good luck this weekend everyone! I am really nervous for myself- I love travelling, but I hate the way I have to give up so much control over my food choices. :scared1: (that smiley is over-dramatic- I amreally just a little scared)
TTFN!:)

Oh my- I am in the lap of luxury at a gorgeous place in or near the Shenendoah (sp) Valley, Va- It is called the Homestead Resort. Holy Smokes this place is fancy! www.thehomestead.com - but the photos on the website don't begin to capture the magnificence of this place. Remarkably, I think I have done pretty well with my food choices so far. Last night I was very lucky that they had one of my very favorite dinners on the menu- seared rare tuna. It is generally pretty low fat/low cal. And I ordered dessert but they brought me the wrong thing twice- I ended up with a poached pear- and I am sure that was my guardian angel- keeping me away from the decadent thing I actually ordered.:lmao:

This morning DH is golfing so I slept in and ventured downstairs in search of breakfast to find the only 2 options were a pastry/coffee shop and a huge (and expensive) breakfast buffet. I don't trust myself around pastries or buffets so I was pretty disappointed in my choices. I decided to leave the resort and walk into the little town here, (a short walk) and I found a nice little homey breakfast joint and has a good breakfast (cream chipped beef on toast with hash browns- yummy) and get this- It cost less than a cup of coffee at the resort! So even though I am sure that blew a lot of WW points at least I took a walk and saved a lot of dough. I am sure I ate less than I would have at the buffet- I have told DH, no matter how much I beg- never turn me loose around unlimited bacon!

DH and I are going for a hike in the mountains later- so hopefully that will burn some of that breakfast. Good day to all!

WOW! Sounds fabulous. I am extremely jealous! Enjoy your weekend!

I, on the other hand, am back off to work. again. 'Tis the season to be very busy at an apple orchard.

I'm going to keep chanting my mantra. "good choices aren't always easy...good choices aren't always easy...." ;)

Hi, I'm new.

I just joined WW online Friday, and I'm trying to learn everything. I've done WW before in meetings, but I can't find one at a good time/date for me. I'm at my highest weight ever, which is pretty depressing since I plan to do the Disney Half Marathon in January.

My downfall is the evenings, and afternoons at work. It sounds like everyone is gearing up to lose/maintain for Fall, so count me in! My immediate goal is to lose 10 lbs. before Halloween. That's about 5 weeks away, so it seemed like a good starting point. Less depressing than 10% and more doable for me...

Maria
