anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

Yesterday was really tough to stay on target. I still have to figure out my points from yesterday. We ate at Sci-Fi for lunch and Fazoli's for supper. I got a garden salad at sci-fi then ordered the cheese cake and almost ate half of it and all the caramel corn on the plate, ds ate the M&M's. At Fazoli's I had 1 meatball, and just a small spoonful of dh's spaghetti. I'm hoping the smaller portion size helped a bit. Today we are off to Beaches and Cream and then the MK. Having this DDE card was not a smart choice. Since we're at Disney all the time, I guess I'll have to keep track of the nutritional info I get from Disney. Might help other WW people who are on vacation.

Well, I paid for my splurges this morning! A bit of extra bike time at the gym..you know, my taste buds really enjoyed those treats last night, but my disgestive system didn't appreciate it at all :crazy2: I guess I'm just not accustomed to those types of foods any more. :goodvibes

Veggie Burgers....they get mixed reviews from me. Depends on the brand, the variety and how they are prepared! :confused3 No matter what type they are, I prefer them grilled or heated in a frying pan sprayed with Pam....and really, most of them are better with a little bit of low-fat cheese on top. My top 2 choices would be the Gardenburger Original and Boca's flame grilled patty...but none that I've ever had is anything like a true beef burger...

Both Boca and Morningstar make a "chick'n" patty....they're not too bad - I make a fast-food style chicken sandwich out of those on a light whole wheat burger bun, a bit of low-fat ranch dressing & fresh tomato slices & lettuce. ::yes::

WHOO HOOOOO!! I finally lost weight!! I was about to give up!!! I lost 3 lbs!!! I am so excited.
The bad news is my 10th Anniversary is this weekend and we are going out for Mexican food:eek:  But I want to continue to lose.
I checked the scale twice this morning because I was in disbelief!!!!!!!!!

I just have to say I am still jealous that you get to go to those restaurants all the time!!!
Hang in there!!

:cool1: nateandapril- way to go!

I am doing well today- I am finished dinner and I am still under my points. So I get to have a treat tonight without using any flexies!
I am jealous of you lovethattink- how do you calculate points on disney food- is the nutritional info published anywhere? We are going in May for 3 nights- and I think I have decided not to count points while we are there- but it might be nice to have a basic idea of calories...
PrincessMichelle - hang in there.
Have a good night all.

Well... I maintained this week. :rolleyes1 With V- day and my brother's family coming to visit for the weekend I had a lot more junk food than normal. I haven't been doing a great job on the exercise front lately either. I've got to kick myself in gear and get with it - especially if I'm going to run that 5K race in April. What was I thinking?:scared1: Tomorrow I am gettin back OP and back on the bike. I know I can do this.
I went to the store today and stocked up on some really good food so I don't have any excuses for eating junk.
Congratulations to everyone who lost this week. Keep it going!

Anne

natenapril - Great job on your loss this week!!!

Princess Michelle - Hang in there! Everyone has a bad day or week from time to time.

I weighed in today and showed a small loss of .50 lbs. Didn't get much exercise in last week and probably had one too many Hershey's kisses . Didn't get on the TM today (yet), I just feel so tired. TOM is still here and I really feel tired this month. Plus school vacation started this week and my niece (8 years old) is visiting. We're having a great time but I didn't get my 30 min. recovery nap today. Well enough excuses - maybe tomorrow will be better!

Take care all!
Joanne

natenapril way to go!

I think I did ok today at Beaches and Cream. I ordered my 2 year old a kid's mini-cheeseburger meal. I ate one of those mini cheeseburgers and a cup of chicken noodle soup.

10thousandvolts, As for the nutritional value, I haven't found a list, although I didn't go to guest services. If the restaurant we are in is busy, I don't bother to ask and when I get home, I enter each ingredient invididually to the point tracker online. If it's not too busy, I ask the waitress if there is somewhere that says the calories, fat and fiber for the food. She asks the chef.

The spinach and artichoke dip and chips at sci-fi was 29 points.

We did walk all the way from the parking lot Create 44 at Epcot to Beaches and Cream. Then we walked all of world showcase and future world. It was so crowded with people. The only attraction we rode was Journey into Imagination. Restaurants were packed, CS lines were the longest I've seen since Christmas to New Year's week. We were lucky and only had to wait about 30 min for our names to be called to eat.

PrincessMichelle, hang in there. Changing schedules can really be a pain, especially so on a diet. Best wishes!

Princess Michelle, Hang in there! You are doing so well losing already! Good luck on the job hunt!!:wizard:

TenTHousand, I love when I have extra points left and can treat myself with out dipping into to those flex points! Congrats and enjoy!;)

Mom0299
Good luck on your upcoming 5K!!! You will do great!!:woohoo:

JJSMOM Congrats on the loss!!!

Lovethattink, 29 pts for artichole dip and chips:scared1:
I think it is great that you are taking the time to figure the points value on WDW food. I am sure it is alot of work. We will be at WDW in Dec. but I may splure a little that week:eek:

Onward and Downward ladies!!

WHOO HOOOOO!! I finally lost weight!! I was about to give up!!! I lost 3 lbs!!! I am so excited.

Excellent!!! Persistance pays off! :cool1: I'm hovering at the same weight I was last week....I know that my weekend *fun* didn't help any, but at least I'm not paying too dearly! :goodvibes

Oh - and 29 points for spinach & artichoke dip? Thanks for the warning. I'm gonna have to pass....:sad1:

I have a cake decorating class tonight. What was I thinking?!! I would love to be able to make cute cakes for my kids though!
So here's hoping I don't eat too much cake tonight!

Now that's will power! That's something I've always wanted to learn to do. I hope the class goes well.

I am so jealous! I want to learn to make cool cakes. I watch the show Ace of Cakes on Food Network- it is so fun. I wouldn't want to be around all that frosting right now, though. Good luck with that!

Ace of Cakes is such a cool show. We didn't make any cakes like that though:laughing: I had a good time. The class is every Tues. for 4 weeks. Next week we will learn to make roses and decorate shaped (character) cakes.
I think I will have my DH take my cake intot he Airman in his shop so I won't be tempted to have some for breakfast:rotfl:

Love the Ace of Cakes - his cakes are so neat. Have fun w/the cake decorating class. I wanted to go to cake decorating classes but couldn't find a babysitter. I taught myself at home and have made some really neat cakes - doll cakes, Mickey Mouse (of course!), Cinderella, Spiderman, Jungle cakes and holiday cakes. It is so fun. Once you're around the frosting more it won't bother you. Have a great time!

I am freezing! It was -48 when I took my DD to school this morning.

OUCH! I can't even imagine what -48 feels like. I never noticed that you're from Alaska- I think it looks like the most beautiful state in the USA. It is warming up here in Maryland. It is in the 50's I think.

I weigh-in tomorrow- I took a peak at the scale and it looks like it hasn't budged. Really discouraging since I have only used 3 flex points all week and have stayed 100% on track with my eating. Oh well- I can't gripe about it until tomorrow when my weigh-in is official.

 That's too cold even for a MOOSE! We'd been having colder-than-average temps for about a month now - but today is warm and sunny - I'd say mid 40's. Definitely a spring teaser. ;)

I feel like I'm in a food rut. Anyone have some tasty lunch ideas they want to share? :confused3

to akaSnowWhaite, re:food rut: here is what I had for lunch and it was yummy.

1/4 cup of Curly's Pulled Pork BBQ on a 1 point hot dog roll with some 0 point cole slaw on the side (I put a little slaw on my BBQ too)
It didn't taste like diet food at all. When I saw the portion was 1/4 cup I was thinking that it wouldn't be satisfiying but it fills the roll out nicely (especially with the extra slaw)

I don't know if you can get Curly's pulled pork, but it is prepared and refrigerated at my grocery store. 1/4 cup is only 2 points. The rolls are called 'whitewheat light' and they taste like white rolls but they are only 1 point.
