anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

I'm down 2 lbs this week!! :cool1: I'm SOOO happy - I counted points and saved all my flex for a party Saturday night and super bowl madness yesterday. but still weighing in on the day after that was a little scary! I got my first 5 lb sticker and as an adult I shouldn't have been quite so excited but I am!
Now onto that 7 layer mexican dip I told you all about :)
1/4 Cup - 2 points

1 c ff sour cream
2 Tbsp taco seasoning
9 oz ff bean dip (heaping cup)
3/4 c guacamole
1/4 c low fat cheese
4 med green onions chopped
1 small tomato chopped
6 olives chopped

Combine sour cream and taco seasoning
Spread beans on bottom of 12" dish
Layer other ingredients in order given.

I made one for the super bowl and one for saturday night and both got raves so it's highly suggested!

As an aside in my meeting tonight they had a new cookbook - Comfort Foods it had some yummy recipes in it. I didn't have my wallet with me so I'll definitely pick it up next week.

Keep up the great work everyone!! Have a great week!

Sorry to ramble.... I just had to get my confessions out! I hate feeling guilty like this. Hopefully I'll remember this feeling next time. I intended to get up and exercise today and be really good points wise. Well, I didn't exercise. I got busy doing other stuff and it started getting late and I was making excuses for myself...."it's that TOM and I feel blah", "it's so cold, I just want to take a hot shower and put warm pj's on". I am a mess! :guilty:

You've confessed, and now you need to FORGIVE YOURSELF! Tomorrow is another day - a fresh start! Everyone has a day or two off now and then. When you get up tomorrow morning, make the choice to get back to work! :thumbsup2 You can do it :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Considering the weekend you had I think you did pretty well so give yourself a pat on the back for doing your best. Did you do better than you would have a few months ago?? Then that's an accomplishment so be happy about that - drink lots of water and get moving that little indiscretion will be history before you know it. :)

Thanks for the encouragement everyone! :goodvibes

I'm back on track today. I made sure I exercised before I even allowed myself to get on the computer.

I did a quick weigh-in yesterday and was down 2 lbs. for 6 days.:cool1: So today I get on the scales for my weekly check-in and now it is 1.5 lbs. Oh well, it will catch up soon.

So, 1.5 lbs. this week for a total of 9.5 lbs. in 4 weeks. I told my husband the other day as we went out to lunch (Applebee's where I can count points) that saying I lost 10 lbs. in one month sounds great, but knowing there are still another 113 to go sounds so overwhelming. So tonight I am going to sit down and break it up into smaller more manageable goals with dates also. I realized that at 10 lbs. a month, it will take me a year to get this weight off. That seems like such a long time. Oh well, I guess it's like having a baby (if you are an elephant).

Awesome job!!!:woohoo: You are doing GREAT! Steady weight loss is the healthiest way to lose. It may seem like it's going to take a long time to reach your goal - but...how long did it take to put ON that weight? More than one year I'm willing to bet. Be patient...it'll take time...but it is oh so worth it !! :goodvibes

Hello, WW newbie here. I started by doing the free online trial and lost 7 pounds that first week. I decided to continue!! 1 more pound, gone with this week's weigh in! Any points, tips, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I'm doing the flex plan, by the way.

Welcome LoveThatTink!!!
I have had 2 terrible days. I didn't count points at all. I am back to counting points today and I weigh-in tomorrow. I just hope I didn't gain anything from my 2 bad days.
Sounds like everyone is losing- great job-
Nateandapril- don't worry, you will push past this platteau- just stick to it.
Good day everyone!!!

Welcome Lovethattink!!

COgrats on the weight loss Disneyeveryyear!!! You are loosing and that great!:cool1:

Keep up the good work ladies! I am working harder on journaling and getting those darn veggies in!;)

Today was an ok day until this evening! I worked out for about 1 1/2 hrs today and was felt great. Guess what? All that exercise made me so hungry! I did ok w/supper but I was still hungry. So I cooked chocolate chip cookies for my DS' lunch tomorrow (Yeah sure!;) ). So anyway I had 4 cookies and I blew my great day!

I get the urge to snack around 3 or 4 in the afternoon but it usually goes away. I think the exercise is increasing my appetite. Does anyone else have this problem? I hardly ever eat after supper but lately I've had a real problem w/this.

Tomorrow is another day! Onward and downward!
Joanne

Thanks for the welcome!

Joanne, I thought maybe it was just me. I am eating better, excercising, have a ton more energy, and feeling hungrier than ever for sweets!

I hit a tough spot in the afternoon too. I have been trying to stick with a 100 cal snack (100 cal oreas or pringles etc). You are doing really great with exercising!:cool1:

This made me laugh. :rotfl:

Anyway, this was my first actual week starting WW and my weigh-in was today--down 4.4 lbs. I was kind of hoping for more since it is my first week, but considering that it was my TOM, I guess it's not too bad. I hardly used any of my flex points and some days didn't even reach my points for the day. Do you think that's a bad thing? I've did really well drinking all my water in the beginning, but it kind of tapered off. I'm trying to drink more. I want to make sure that I get some exercise in this week since I did absolutely none last week. :sad2:

Marshmelo--I would have done way worse with that meal you cooked. Alice Springs Chicken....yum....Congrats on doing so well so far!

Good job PrincessAurora- you are on your way.

Good news- Even after my EMBARRASSINGLY HORRIBLE eating on Monday and Tues I still lost 1 pound. I really thought I was going to gain so I am perfectly happy with 1 pound.

I am down 9 pounds total in 3 weeks.
I am going to stick to it this week 100% - no fooling around- Good luck to everyone tomorrow.

Yahoo! :cool1: Nicely done.

I don't have my next weigh-in until Tuesday - but it's more than just a weigh-in. It's my complete body composition & measurements as well. :scared: My scale has been inching downward ever so slowly, so I'm hoping that I'll find that I'm adding muscle and creating a leaner body....:confused3 ...either way, I have to be oh-so-perfect for the next 4 days. :rolleyes1

Congratulations disneyeveryyear! :yay: That was so funny about the elephant :rotfl2:
Welcome lovethattink! Good job with your loss so far!! :goodvibes
Yay TenThousandVolts! :cheer2: Good for you for getting back on track!
Great Job PrincessAurora! :thumbsup2
Good Luck to natenapril and AKAsnowwhite :) Keep on keepin' on...we can all do this together!! :grouphug:

Well, I stayed the same this week, but I'm happy with that....as you all read about my tough week and slip ups. I have exercised the past three days, so I guess that probably helped. I hope to have a good week and reach my 10 lb loss next week!

Have a good week everyone!

I think it is important to eat all of your points everyday. Your extra points are your choice.

I agree - make sure you eat all your points. You need to keep healthy. As natenapril said the flex points are your choice. When I was enrolled in WW and went to the meetings - I was actually losing weight too quickly (yeah this sounds great but its not healthy at all) so the leader said to make sure I eat all the points per day and for my situation to use all my flex points. It slowed down my weight loss to a healthy pace.

Good luck. Onward and downward!
Joanne

I blew it yesterday. We went to MGM for a few hours and ate at the Sci-Fi drive in. I ended up using most of my weekly points at one shot, ugh! Today, I'm going to have to be more self-disciplined! All the walking I did at MGM only counted for 1 point.

I will excercise and stay in my points today!

Do you live close by to DISNEY or are you on vacation?
I LOVE the Sci-Fi, especially the Rueben and the Onion Rings.
How do you calculate the walking to be 1 point? I always use 30 minutes of moderate exercise as 2 points but I think I may have made that up. :confused3
Anyway- You will do better today- nobody is perfect.
