anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

weighed in and lost 3.5 pounds- down- 8 pounds total :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

As for veggies- snack on carrots and celery, also canned veggie or veggie beef soup is filling has veggies and is very low in points (2.5 points for a whole can of Campbells veggie beef.)
Have a great day all!

Morning Everyone!

Beverly and TenThousandVolts ~ Great job on the loss this week!

natenapril ~ For vegetables I am always snacking on baby carrots. I also always put lettuce and red onions on my sandwiches. I have salads about 3-4 times a week and usually have some kind of vegetable with dinner or else make something that has vegetables in it. Like the other night I made chili and put onions, celery and green and red peppers in it. :)

I'm trying to stay pretty low on points today for breakfast and lunch. We're going out to dinner and bowling tonight with some friends and I don't know where we are going to be eating so I am just saving as many points as I can. I had 3 points for breakfast and will have 3 points for lunch so that will leave me with 22 for dinner wherever we go and I think I can make a pretty good meal out of that. The bowling will be some exercise too so that will be good for me. LOL :yay:

Hope ya'll have a great day! Stay warm!

Michelle,

Bowling sounds like fun. I have open house at school for 2nd grader tonight. I don't mind the open house it's trying to find a parking place that kills me. Plus it will probably be about 15 degrees tonight. We had better bundle up.

DH has already chosen dinner for tonight, we are having grilled chix breasts with Lawry's seasoned salt, instant mashed potatoes and some vegetable. So that is only about 6 pts. for dinner. Since I have only had 11 with b-fast and lunch, I will have a bunch left over. Maybe it will be popcorn for an afternoon snack with the kids. I love the O.R. that is only 3 pts. for the entire bag!!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Afternoon all! A quiet day here - not much going on. I've done well so far. I've fixed Beef Stroganoff for supper - its the kids' favorite. The WW book says 16 pts but I think thats a little high. I'll have a very small portion.

Today marks 100 days until our trip to WDW. Our kids don't know we're going. It'll be a surprise on Easter which is approx. 30 days before we leave. I tried on my bathing suit today - uggghhhhh! A LONG way to go is all I can say. I did get on the treadmill today and my back is feeling great so I'll add more exercises and hopefully by the end of Feb. I'll be running again.

Good luck to all! Onward and downward!!!!!
Joanne

Great job everyone! :cheer2:

I weighed in tonight and lost 3 lbs. this week. That makes me very happy :)
I have a challenging weekend in front of me though. My sister and her husband are coming tomorrow evening and have requested I make a big dinner: Salad (good) with my homemade ranch dressing (not so good...and it only gets worse from here), Outback Alice Springs Chicken (I have a copy recipe...yeah, the one loaded with bacon and cheese!), Rolls with Texas Roadhouse recipe cinnamon butter, and loaded baked potatoes! Oh, and don't forget dessert....Peanut Butter Pie. As if that isn't enough....Sunday is the Superbowl (Go Colts!) and DH wants some good snack food. I'm just going to close my eyes and pray my way through the weekend :rotfl:

Whoo HOOO!!! COngrats on the loss!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

COngrats on the weight loss!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Maybe you could save all your flex points for your dinner with family and then leave out a veggie tray on super bowl. Repeat over and over "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" in your mind over and over.
Now if I could just follow this too:rotfl2:
Good luck!!!

Way to go on the weight loss :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Your weekend sounds challenging  But....just because they *requested* that menu, doesn't mean you have to make ALL of it, does it? :confused3 Maybe just skip those rolls...have your salad without the dressing and your potato with only the healthy stuff on it  and a sensible portion of the chicken (I know...easier said than done sometimes! ;) )

Good luck -

Congrats on your future WDW trip!! It certainly is motivating! We wanted to stay at the AKL - it really looks cool. If you don't mind me asking what type of room did you get - we have 3 kids and the deluxe room was the one we were thinking of doing. We decided on a one bedroom at the VWL - but we may need to downgrade - its a little more then what we should be spending. We may need to do 2 rooms at a moderate but they don't guarantee connecting rooms , which I understand but whats the sense in trying. We want to be together!

Well anyway congratulations. Everyone have a great weekend. Hey we got 2 more inches of snow last night. I'm gonna get my snowshoes on today!!!

Good luck everyone - its Super Bowl Weekend!

JJ&JSMOM,
We will have a queen bed and a bunkbed. My son will be under 3 so they will have a playpen or crib available for us.RIght now we have a standard view but may upgrade to a Savannah room.
My DH had a code attatched to his name so we ended up getting the room for 40% off. SO this is a splurge. AKL was the hotel my oldest DD really wanted.

FOr all us worried about Superbowl, HANG IN!!:hippie:

Congrats on the booked WDW trip! When we were there this past Dec. we went over to AKL to check it out. It was very pretty. We were supposed to have breakfast at Boma but we didn't make it, maybe next time. The pool area looked very nice. We walked around the paths on the savanna side and saw some giraffes, flamingos, ostriches, and some kind of water buffalo or something. The Christmas decorations were very pretty too. You'll love it.

As far as the Super Bowl goes - it's just another Sunday for me. It don't get into football and DH doesn't really either. A family at church is having all the kids (PreK-6th grade) over for a First Half Super Bowl Party. They'll be coming home at half-time. All the junk food will be at someone else's house.

This may sound strange, but I discovered something yesterday that I think will change my life. I've never been able to get a lot of air in my lungs when I work out. I don't have asthma problems, the air just won't go in. I went to Wal-mart yesterday and bought a pack of Breathe Right strips. The second I put it on I could breathe like I have never breathed before in my life. It was unbelieveable. I rode the exercise bike for thirty-five minutes and didn't even get winded. I've never done that before. I am psyched about doing a 5K in April and now I think I can actually do it!

How is everyone making it through Superbowl Sunday???

Ugh. I just ate too much :sad2: Good stuff - just too much of it. I'm dreading adding up my points :scared1: Oh well...I truly have been very good all week, and as long as I start fresh tomorrow, I guess one over-indulgant meal isn't the end of the world :rolleyes1

Princess Michelle - Congrats on you loss! It all adds up.

I only lost .50 lbs again - but at least I'm consistently losing each week. I'll take that! Goals for this week are the same as last week - treadmill 3x and then weight/strengthen training 3 times as well. Maybe more but we'll see.

Happy weigh in all! Onward and downward!
Joanne

I lost .8 lb. this week. I just can't seem to get to that 10 lb. mark. Next week for sure. I'm beginning to wonder if Mondays are bad weigh-in days. I took a peek a my weight on Thursday and it was 142.5. This morning it was 142.8. I think I might change my weigh-in day to Wednesday. I usually save all my flex points for the weekend and then I end up weighing in right after I've had all those large meals. But.. a loss is a loss.. I don't know. :confused3

DS's basketball tournaments start this week. I don't know how much exercise I'll get done in the evenings. I'll do the best I can.

Onward and downward. Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!

I maintained again. This is very frustrating. I am going to try harder this week. I need to lose this weight:scared1:

Hi everyone. Thanks for the support! Natenapril: maintaining is good! I know it's frustrating though. Have you been eating all your points? I know sometimes, we need to eat a little more to lose :confused3 So, if you haven't been eating all your points, try that. Also, drink LOTS of water. Keep in mind too that if you're exercising, you could be gaining muscle which will show on the scales. AKAsnowwhite: Yes, start fresh! I struggled myself today. I just got into some chocolate chips when I shouldn't have :guilty: I just CAN'T have anything chocolate in the house or I will eat it! They were left from the peanut butter pie I made over the weekend. After a little binge on them I threw the rest away.

My weekend did not go as well as I had hoped it would. To remind you....my sister was coming and requested the big meal, DH wanted superbowl snacks. Well, I counted points on Friday, even through the big dinner. I measured the salad dressing (only had 2 TBS) and the cinnamon butter, and counted the points. I only had two rolls (very small, so it was like one reg size roll). I used 'I can't believe it's not butter' and Light Sour Cream on my baked potato. I shouldn't have eaten the whole potato, but I did. We were all too full for the pie, so ended up deciding to wait until the next day to have it (they were staying the night). I had gotten some Pillsbury cinnamon rolls for breakfast Saturday morning (I should have not done that, but I like to please people!). I had one and a half of the Grands Cinnabon ones. I only intended to have one (9 pts), but it was so good that I got another half...at least I didn't have another whole one I guess. That's where my weekend started going downhill though :sad2: I asked my sister if they wanted to stay for lunch, so she made some potato soup with half and half and butter, among other things, in it. I had a bowl of that and put cheese and bacon pieces and sour cream in it. Then I got out the left over rolls and cinnamon butter and had I think about 3. Then we had the peanut butter pie (11 pts for 1/8). I didn't do too bad for dinner, just had a ham and turkey sandwich and some pringles. But, yesterday was pretty bad. I made nacho hamburger dip which we had for lunch. At least I ate the Light Tostitos with it instead of the regular ones  For dinner I made buffalo chicken sandwiches with ranch dressing. Oh, and I ate two more pieces of peanut butter pie yesterday :sad2:

Sorry to ramble.... I just had to get my confessions out! I hate feeling guilty like this. Hopefully I'll remember this feeling next time. I intended to get up and exercise today and be really good points wise. Well, I didn't exercise. I got busy doing other stuff and it started getting late and I was making excuses for myself...."it's that TOM and I feel blah", "it's so cold, I just want to take a hot shower and put warm pj's on". I am a mess! :guilty:
