anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

Well I only lost .5 but it is better than nothin'! I have not been eating so well. I plan on starting over this week!
I need to work on getting more fruits and veggies in.

Think of it this way....1/2 pound of fat is 2 sticks of butter :scared1: but it's 2 sticks of butter that is GONE from your body :yay: :yay: :yay:

The "non-physical" challenge for my gym's Biggest Loser competition this week was to eat 5 fruits AND 5 vegetables every day....AND stay within calorie guidlines without compromising protein & complex carb intake. :eek: It was very hard, but I managed to do pretty well - I know that my "good carbs" were more limited than I prefer - 5 fruits is alot for me (especially when keeping everything else in balance!)
 
Hello everyone,

I don't know if guys are allowed to respond, but my wife & I have been on the points system since Dec 26th. She's down 5 lbs... I'm down 16 lbs. We're actually trying to drop a few for our WDW trip in March.

Are there any other couples losing weight together?


My DH and I are both losing weight. I personally don't think he needs too,. ANyway, He is AD Air FOorce so he goes to the gym 4 times a week. His weight loss has slowed because he has gained so much more muscle. But yes, we are both changing our lifestyles!
 
Hi Everyone :cool1: I lost 3.8 lbs this week!!! I'm soooo excited and happy. I know that after the first week it won't be quite as significant but just losing for a change feels great. :teeth:
As an aside I want to mention to those of you who have had trouble finding a good meeting - keep trying!! I am on my 4th attempt and this leader is great!! She makes you feel great and she is just the right balance of having success and finding the balance that we all strive for. She sent me a sweet post card last week to motivate me and it was so thoughtful. I feel like I found the right fit this time. Our meeting was great and full of options for navigating a super bowl party with success. By the way I got a great 7 layer mexican dip that's 2 points for 1/4 cup if anyone's interested. :)

Joanne, I wish I could go outside for a bike ride too. My bike is actually my exercise bike in my bedroom. We were out of school today because of snow and we'll be home again tomorrow.

PhillipV, my DH and I are losing weight together. He is not doing WW,but cutting back on carbs and doing portion control. He has been fierce when it comes to workouts and has lost quite a bit. We both want to work up to running a race sometime this year.

Today I had a 1pt yogurt breakfast, 5 pt. WW frozen entree lunch, and then DH and I went out for Japanese. I had Hibachi shrimp with carrots and rice. How many points was that? Does anyone have a clue?
Tomorrow we have a meeting a church and the pastor is making lasagna. I think I'll skip lunch or just eat carrots and sugar free jell-o.

I would love a copy of that recipe. With some baked scoops that would be very doable!!

Marshmelo and PrincessAurorainPA - glad to know I am not alone in the 100+ club here. Maybe we should all watch out for each other and help keep each other on track. Let me know how you are doing. My official weigh-in day is Wednesday. Looks good so far.

:lmao: After reading your post again I thought to myself shes not going on a bike ride she has an exercise bike. Dahh - sometimes I can be so thick! I saw you were in Tennessee and automatically thought it was warm this time of year. But sounds like your getting more snow then we are in Maine. We've only really had one storm w/significant snow fall - about 6 - 8 inches. We're hoping for more but so far this winter has really been boring when it comes to snow!!!!!

We've gotten a whopping 1" of snow so far this winter. :sad2: What a strange weather year it has been. No snow, but too cold for me to go out and bike. So it's indoors for me as well. Gives us something to look forward to when spring arrives I suppose...:woohoo:

It is strange! When I was a kid I remember having tons of snow and snow days from school. Geez once we had a huge snowstorm in October - the snow didn't last too long but we had snow. I feel bad for my kids this year - they love playing in the snow and going sledding. Its not over yet - hopefully we'll get some more snow soon. Might as well - if its going to be this cold we should have at least some snow for fun.

Morning Everyone :goodvibes

Well, I weighed in this morning unofficially to see if I maybe met my 8lb. goal for the month and I did, I was so excited. I won't count it in until I weigh on Monday but it was nice to know that I achieved what I needed to this month. I'm hoping to add some more to it for Monday's weigh in and finally be under 230 again. That would be so nice. ::yes::

Breakfast ~ Whole Wheat mini bagel with lite cream cheese = 4pts. 1 banana = 2pts. and 2 slices of turkey bacon = 1 pt. for a total of 7pts.

Lunch ~ 1/2 turkey sandwich on pita bread = 4 pts. applesauce = 1pt. and yogurt = 1pt. for a total of 6pts.

Dinner ~ Salad bar at work = 10pts. and 4oz. of chicken or some other meat, I haven't decided yet = 4pts. for a total of 14pts.

So my total for today will be 27pts.

I need to get groceries sometime today as we are very low on "good food" and thats a dangerous time for me because I could find something to eat but it wouldn't be good for my points tally. Speaking of points tally - I think I used most of my flex points last night - I had 12 going into dinner and we decided to go out to eat at Bugaboo Creek. I did ok - I love their baked onion soup and the weather was so cold last night I decided to get that and then they didn't put the salad dressing on the side so that used a few points. I ordered sirloin tips but only had 3 or 4 - I really could have stopped eating after the salad - I was so full. But of course I had to eat my favorite smashed potatos.

But today I started off as usual w/my chocolate milk and toast - so far so good! I have to go out in the cold - I really don't want to. But I gotta! Well not much going on. I do get my hair cut tonight - I so look forward to that!!! It is so relaxing. We'll see if my hairdresser notices the loss of 7 lbs.

My weigh in is tomorrow- I have 14 flex points but heaven knows I don't want to use them the day before weigh-in. I might use 2 or 3 but that is it. Can I just tell you about my favorite food moment of the week. I spent 10 flex points on Sunday at ColdStone- mmm Cake Batter ice cream. And it was better than ever because there was NO GUILT- it was allowed. That is the best part of WW- so far it has been TOTALLY easy to follow.

I got my handy WW calculator and labeled most of the foods in my pantry/fridge /freezer with points values. That was kind of fun- but my SIL opened up my fidge yesterday and was like "What the heck are all these numbers on everything?"

You guys are doing great! Keep it up- and re: the 2 previous posts- that is so true- planning is key.

Hi all! Today was weigh in day and I was down another 2 lbs. this week. So a total of 8 lbs. in 3 weeks. Not too bad. I am very pleased.

DH is fixing BLTs and Mac 'n cheese for dinner, with veggies, so I will have to watch what I eat today. I have only had 12 pts. so far. I might have some 1pt. yogurt for a snack, but that should leave me plenty of pts. for dinner.

It helps to plan for me too. If I know what I am having for dinner, I can work around the other meals.

disneyeveryyear - Great job! Dinner is my meal of the day too once I know whats for dinner I know what I can/can't have during the day.

natenapril - My DH had one of those too - hes supposed to be selling it but I can't seem to get him to do it! He has a plow on his truck - you would think that was enough! And yes send us some snow!!!!
