Anyone having long wait for confirmation letter?

For the first time we are renting our points out to a non-member. I made the reservations about 3-4 weeks ago, never received first letter, called and still have not received second letter. The person we are renting to really wants to get that letter for peace of mind(which of course do not blame them). Just wanted to know is everyone else having to wait extra long for their confirmation letter.

I made 2 ressies on March 18, and the confirmations arrived today.

I made a ressie the 1st week of January and never received a confirmation.
I made another ressie the 1st week of February and never received a confirmation.
I made two more ressies the first week of March, and at that time asked to be sent the missing confirmations.
I received all four confirmations about 15 days later.

If I were you, I would go ahead and call DVC again to reconfirm your reservation and to remind them that you have not received your confirmation and could they send it to you. For some reason, they aren't getting the confirmations out in a timely matter lately!

Had the same problem with our Christmas ressies...didn't get a confirmation until the 2 phone call.

I booked a 2br and a studio and rec'd just the 2br conf. Then I called and they said they would send it out, still nothing. Called again after another 1-2 wks and they said they would send it again. Got home that night and low and behold both confirmations. Now there is another one on it's way.

BTW-would have called back to cancel the comfirmation request except I was afraid they would cancel the reservation.

I made a recent reservation and recieved the confirmation letter in less than one week. I'm with pkb24824, I would call.

Guess what I found in the mail today? Yep, finally got confirmation letter. Thank you all for your reply's.

It took 3 phone calls before I finally got our Christmas ressie confirmation.

I made my ressie 3/20 and haven't received confirmation yet. If I remember correctly the CM said it would take 10-14 days.

We made reservation for the BCV's at 11 months for New Year's. We just received the confirmation last week after two phone calls. So it took about seven weeks to receive them.

I have called 3 times for my early Dec ressie confirmation and twice for my VM. I'll check mail on Monday and then I'll know if I have to call yet again. I keep hearing the "We'll research it for you." but never here the result. I made my ressies day by day late Dec and early Jan but nothing. How long does it take for mail to arrive? I think DVC needs to figure this out. And the VM, that is another story entirely. They only ever ask "Has your address changed?" and I tell them the same thing, same address and it I have had trouble with the VM for almost 2 years now!! I've been a member since 1997 and never had this much trouble.

On a good note, I did make ressies for some friends on 2 weeks notice and they were able to check in without the confirmation slip. I told them I would fax it if I received it before they checked in. I wonder if it will be in Monday's mail? After they have already checked out!!

Our waitlist for August came through on March 19th and we got the confirm the next Monday in the mail (24th). I'd call MS and ask for a second letter to be sent.

I think there is a lesson to be learned in that it pays to actually write down and keep the confirmation numbers in case there is ever a problem. It helped me a lot when calling and talking to DVC about my lack of a confirmation letter.
