Anyone Have this with 1st call to MS?

I called yesterday to MS and we are in the system! But, no points were listed for us. Our resale was to have 98 banked points from 2007, and 200 from 2008 which can be used right away. They told me my guide needed to put them in??? I am new here, but it just sounds weird.

If you buy resale you still have a guide? I would check with the resale broker you dealt with to see what may have happened. Assuming that once you are in the system your points should have traveled with the contract. But then again we didn't buy resale so I am only assuming what should have happened.

Wait a couple of days. Your account is set up by one team and your points are added by another. Team 2 hasn't done their job yet, but you are on your way. Ask MS for your website log in info, don't wait for them to mail you the postcard.

Get that website info and begin checking obsessively. My points always have shown up very quickly on the website, even before my resale agent knew they were ready!

Your base contract information is loaded by 1 department and then it is sent “upstairs” to a different department to have the points loaded, it is not unusual for this to take 2-3 days

Mine took a couple of days after I was in the system.

This is typical. It took about 3 business days for the points to show up.

As OP's have indicated different departments handle different things.

It took one day for my points to show up in my account after my first call. We closed on a BWV resale on 11/7/08. I called on 11/12/08. My info was there but no points. Points in my account on 11/13/08.

Yes, being in the system but waiting for our points to be input is what happened with us also. It was only a few more days.

One more to put your mind at ease. The day I was told I was "in the system" I was also told that the point information wasn't available yet. Took 2 days and then it was in there (Even though they were zeros since I bought a stripped contract Oh well).

Thanks for postin' this thread, I'm about to formally close this week 'n I'd have a minor heart attack if I saw I had no points.
