I really want to try it (my skin is always acting up) but Im not so sure I want to pay all that money and then it not work very well:scared1: I saw on Ebay a few people had some coupons to bid on, but thought I'd ask here first. Any ideas?:goodvibes

My mall has a Proactive vending machine, another mall has a stand where people sell it.

I used to use it when I was in high school but when I got out on my own I couldn't afford it. This past summer it just got too much for me and I caved and went to the vending machine to try it again. The vending machine has a trial kit for $25 and you get the scrub, the toner, lotion, and then the mask, all 1 ot 2 oz. It lasted me close to a month. It was great to try to make sure it worked. And it did! So I now order it and get charged monthly.

My tip is to keep an eye out for the vending machine. If you find it, it doesn't take cash, but will take debit or credit cards. This way you could see if you like it before you are committed to making monthly payments, kwim.

No coupons here, but one suggestion: The maximum strength works so much better than the regular formula. It is the exact same price. Myself and 2 daughters have been using it for years. None of us have blemishes....because we continue to use the product on a regular basis.

I've never heard of any Proactiv coupons, but I agree with the other posters and have seen mall kiosks as well.

I used Proactiv for a number of years and while it worked well, it wasn't perfect. I didn't know they had a max strength! However I did eventually go to my PCP and have been on Retin-A Micro for a year and a half, two years in January and my skin has never been clearer. And I'm 28 and still dealing with it. Just something to think about if Proactiv doesn't work. It is worth the money to at least give it a try. And you have to give it a good 30-60 days to really see good results (and that's with any new program). Shoot it took 4 months for me to see anything with the Retin-A Micro.

Good luck. I battled for a long time with skin problems and have finally found something that works for me. Also, for a great forum dedicated to acne check out acne.org. They helped me soooo much when I was stuggling.

The mall kiosk here is more expensive than if you get it thru ProActive. They have those $19.95 deals in the paper all the time and there is a money back guarantee if it doesn't work.

I also think the mall is more expensive then when you call and order it and least doubled. I think it is worth what they sell it on tv for.

You're gonna love it. Sorry, no coupons, but it truly works. I use it and so does DH. I've used it since my freshman year of college (when my face was SO bad, I didn't even want people to look at me), and have SWORN by it ever since.

Call them up and see if you can get a free trial pack. I got one free for my DD that way.

I am desperate to try something that finally works as well. Does anyone have any positive experiences to report with Proactive??

I had a friend tell me this product has the exact same ingrediants in it as Proactive. She even took me to the drugstore during lunch one day to prove it. My daughter was using the Proactive at the time so I found this Acnefree product at Target & the local drugstores worked just as well if not the same.

I also found a $3.00 coupon in my Sunday paper which brought the price down to $16.00 They have 4 different types to choose from:

AcneFree Clear Skin System, Sensitive System, Severe to Clear System & Redness Relief System.

My husband actually uses the Severe to Clear System on his chest sometimes & it works just like the Proactive.

Just thought I'd pass that on :)

We use this and buy the extra-large size kit at Costco.....

FREE 30 day supply. Just pay S&H of $5.99

Just as an FYI - I'd be careful about bidding on a Proactive coupon. As far as I know, there is no such thing. I take phone orders for Proactive and we don't have coupon options. There are many many different offers out there but no coupons.

What I think they are selling is a referral "coupon". When they got their order, they got an offer that if they give Proactive a friend's name/email, Proactive will email you an offer for the free 30 day supply. At the same time, the person (in this case the ebay seller) is getting a $25 Visa Prepaid Card for each person they refer that purchases through the referral link.

So skip ebay and just follow the link above. The link above is not a referral link.

I have been using it for years and have never seen a coupon. Try the Proactive website or QVC to see who has the better deal.

Yes, its $19.95 a month, BUT you are getting a kit every OTHER month, therefore you are really paying $40 for one kit. One kit should last you 60 days.

I really like Proactive, I like the way it makes my skin feel, very soft. The only complaint I have is, that mask really does work well, but it smells a little funky and it tends to leave my skin dry.

I am 25 and have had acne trouble since I was 12....I am going into the professional world and just couldn't take this anymore, I am happy that I am using it again and I am seeing great result.

Is this supposed to be used as a preventative too? My 12 year old DD gets an occasional pimple, but definately nothing drastic, but I don't want it to get worse. So, I guess I'm wondering if people that don't really have bad acne problems use this so they don't develop acne problems (if that makes sence)?

Thanks for the link Karen. I just ordered my free kit. I have been buying it from the mall vending machine for almost a year now, but I hate when I forget to bring a bag with me and I have to carry my Proactive kit around the mall for everybody to see! I think the home delivery will be much better!

Thanks for the info on the ebay thing...i was kinda wondering what that was all about. Thanks for all the responses!

For the occasional pimple I would just purchase a spot treatment from Neutrogena or something. Unfortunately I don't think acne is preventative. I dealt with it for years and years and had to get prescription medications to clear up my skin.

As far as my experience on Proactiv, it did work...pretty well. My skin was not good...at all. I used Proactiv for about 2 years or so and while it cleared me up some, I was still breaking out regularly. So I finally went to my PCP and started the regimen I am still on today.

I agree that Proactiv works for a LOT of people - however it just did not work for me.

If you have a sams club they sell it there too. It is a little bit cheaper than anywhere else. I did the club thing and had problems when I cancelled it. They kept sending the kits. It eventually was straightened out and they were nice but it was a pain.

I would also recommend the acne free. We switched my son to that and he likes it better. CVS has it on sale sometimes.
