My gosh people get so defensive on internet boards!
I know exactly what he is meaning about enlisted men/women... when they started accepting them, USAA told *US* flat out that because they were going to start covering 18 yo guys (specifically), that they were going to get much more strict on their coverage, and boot people off it ALOT faster... when they were only doing officers (which are NOT 18 yo young adults), things were diff. There IS a risk when covering teenagers, and every car insurance company in the world realizes that, and so does USAA. NOTHING against enlisted men or women or anything liek that - just based on statistical information.
Geez.
Going back to another post about VALUE, I have to agree completely... I could care less if their rates are MUCH higher than other companies, the service and value I have gotten from them (and my family has for generations) is uncomparable to others. The piece of mind we have knowing our insurance company is who they are is worth more than a few bucks saved. We have our renters, car, credit cards, and jewelry through them now, and plan to buy a home using their mortgage and buying program, and homeowners insurance. I have had several issues in which they were incredible in handling (including being sued over a personal injury accident, they made it go away!) Top notch in my book!
