We are taking our 2nd cruise on the Wonder in a couple of months and I booked through Costco. Anyone out there use them? Did you get your docs and such in time. Any other problems? Price was $200 below DCL, so I could not pass on savings. Only every time I call (twice now) I've been on hold for over 30 minutes! Hoping docs come ontime (since they go from DCL to Seattle and back to customer).

Thanks!!!

There are many threads that discuss many TA's....do a search under Costco and I bet you turn up a bunch.

But, yes, Costco saved me $700 over DCL's price for the repo cruise next month...our documents should be here next week but as long as I have them before we sail....I don't care when they come!!! The hold times can be excessive but it is worth to me for the savings. You know you can e-mail them and communicate that way. That is what I have been doing this cruise and had no problems.....

Yes, used them...yes, there are long hold times for the phone...yes, they saved me a bunch of money ($800 less than the next closest quote)....yes, the documents made it w/plenty of time to spare.

If you have a prefeered or elite Costco membership, do you get the 2% cash back at the end of the year like you do on purchases or is travel excluded from this?

Anyone know?

No... but I believe they offer a stateroom gift if you are an executive member.

We haven't sailed yet but we are booked through Costco. The person on the phone was extremely helpful when I booked and I was very impressed.

I booked 2 cabins through them a few years ago. No problems at all. We're not ececutive members but got a gift in each cabin. Maybe they have changed that to Exec. only since we sailed? In anycase, no worries at all.

We've booked our 2 previous cruises through them and are sailing again in 2 weeks on a cruise booked through them. We received our documents last week. Have never had a problem and saved a lot of money. If you call early in the morning and are one of the first in the que the wait is a lot shorter.

I've also been told that Mondays and Wednesdays are their busiest days. Try a different day and the wait may be shorter. Once you book the cruise, you can press the other option for "existing cruise reservations" and the wait seems to be a shorter.

Thanks everyone! What kind of gift? I did not know about this - BONUS!! When I last called, they also told me that the best time to call is between 2-4 pm PST. I'll try that next time to see if the "on hold" time is any better.

I was just recently on the phone with Costco Travel. As I have been considering upgrading to executive membership I ask if there would be any extra benefits. The rep told me a lanyard for your key was it.

As I said, this was a few years ago, but in each cabin we received a tray of chocolate covered strawberries, petitfors and a bottle of sparkling apple cider.
