Anyone have any opinions on what may be going on for next year's "theme" if they have one? I know it's early but since I can't go until 2011....lol. I know the MK's 40th anniversary is in Oct. '11, wonder if they'll do something concerning that all year long? Any thoughts?

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

Disney now likes to run marketing campaigns that involve Disneyland and WDW.

2011 will be the 40th anniversary of the opening of Walt Disney World, so that could be the basis for a marketing campaign, just like the 50th anniversary of Disneyland in 2005.

I wonder if they will decoration the castle again??? I think I was the only person to actually like the icing theme a while back. I thought it looked fun.

I cant go until dec 2011 - I didnt think about the anniversary so i'm even more excited now

I'll be there in January 2011 for marathon weekend. My first trip to WDW was in 1991 and they celebrated the 20th anniversary all year. I imagine that 2011 will be a full year of celebrating their 40th.

I was down twice when it was a cake. I liked it the first time but was not as big of a fan the second time, I was happy when they turned it back to the castle. I think enough people did not like it and complained that they will not do that again.

I will be there in OCT.2011. lets hope it is something good they come up with

I was a little kid I was 7 at the time but I LOVED the castle then! Of course I was 7 so I loved every part of the day.
