Last October I was able to get AAA discount on FW campsite. This year I have called twice and been told they no longer give AAA discounts for the campgrounds. Anyone else have this experience?

I was able to book my august 2014 trip with a AAA discount. I booked last sept. I read here on the boards that AAA and disney were in some sort of negotiations and it wasn't looking good. I haven't seen any confirmation that they stopped the discounts but it sounded like that's what was going to happen. Good luck!

I actually just checked my local AAA website and they are advertising Disney vacations all over the place. Maybe they worked things out. I had to call a couple of times when I tried to book you have to find the right CM. They do offer discounts for the campgrounds if they're available for the week you want. :)

I booked for April last week. We received a AAA discount on the site, and had to book dining plan and tickets thru them as well with no discount. I needed to go thru AAA to book it all. I called Disney and they offered the site with the AAA discount but I was not able to include tickets with it. It was weird. Overall, saved about $150 for 6 nights in a premium site.
Hope this helps!

Maybe the last 2 weeks of October are not included. It is very frustrating to keep getting told they do not give AAA discounts at the campground. They even insist they never give them when I say we just used it last October. I am booking a preferred site, maybe I need to book a premium

I just booked yesterday for 8 nights in November - no discount except on the tent sites. I called today and the VERY nice and knowledgeable young man who answered said to expect the discounts to be released in July or August. So yes, they are still giving them.

They're giving them out but on for certain days. For example, if you check in on August 5th there might not be a AAA discount for your stay, but if you arrive August 6th there might be (just picking random dates for my example).

Same goes for types of sites. Preferred might not an AAA discount for an August 5th arrival, but premium sites might. You have to ask and figure out which dates/sites have the discounts available... or that's been my experience anyway.

And as dalspot said, the dates might not be released yet.

Call back and talk to someone else. Sounds like your CM didn't even bother checking. I got one for Feb a few weeks ago.

It's possible there are none for your dates at this time. But I would call back if I were looking for a discount.

I just booked my trip through a AAA Disney Magic Creator. These reps only deal with Disney vacations through AAA and I have received nothing but great customer service! I was able to get my AAA discount for July. It doesn't matter where you are from. Her name is Nancy Dunn, ph 443-907-3507, NDunn@aaamidatlantic.com
BTW, she's been going to Disney herself every year for the past 15yrs.and has plenty of experience. Good luck!

I just got one today for September 24 to oct 3 and saved $ 137. They are STILL available.

For those of you who did not get it the first time I would definately call back

Got an application for AAA in the mail today, is it worth it for the Fort discount?

AAA discount was available for our Nov 19 - Dec 20 stay but it was only for premium but it was still higher than our regular priced full hook up. We passed.

Was able to get a premium AAA discount today on an existing reservation made on 11/10/2013 for 24 nights arriving on May 30th 2014, departing June 23rd.

total reservation before AAA $2952
total reservation after AAA tonight $ 2509

I AM THRILLED to say the least! looks like a 15 percent discount! I hope I get the sites I requested. This will be our 3rd trip to the fort and I skipped last summer to plan and save for this summer. hope we get good weather and gas prices stay low (2100 miles each way)

This is incorrect. We were recently able to get a AAA discount for Easter week.

True, dat. I got an AAA discount for my Thanksgiving week stay back in 2009 (a full time at the Fort) but the discount was only 5%.

There may not be many discounts that time of year or during other popular periods. But every little bit helps! :cool1:

I was able to get AAA discount for July 31-August 10 for preferred site.
I did have to call two times as the first one said I could only book threw AAA to get AAA discount. So I hung up, then I called disney right back and was able to get it discount with a new person.
