Anyone have any experience with the airport in Miami

So, as the quest for the cheapest plane tickets begins we've located the "winner" . Boston, to Miami, to Orlando. Now the pros it's $175 round trip, per person.
So, anyone have any comments about the airport in Miami? How bad or good is it? I already know how bad Boston is, definitely didn't want to fly through there again, but their flights are 200 cheaper than through the home airport so guess where we're going...
Also, how good or bad is American Airlines?

What Airline?

I fly AA and have never had a problem connecting through MIA.

It has more walking that MCO, so be prepared for that.

We went thru MIA last Feb. It's the FIRST time I've ever seen signs that tell you "You are now a 20 minute walk from Terminal *". We flew in from MCO to MIA on American Airlines and after a 25 minute hike, up and down escalators, we decided that the $50 we saved just wasn't worth the hassel. By the time we got to our concourse, we felt like rats in a maze. Yes, there was construction going on in Miami, but unless they are installing a light-rail people mover, we will never fly into MIA on AA again.

IF you're looking at United, MIA is a piece of cake. They fly into their own concourse and you just have to hike to the baggage return.

One of the news channels had a report of the best and worst airports in the country....MCO, one of the best---MIA, one of the worst! I can't help you with AA since I usually go with SWA or US Air. Good luck!

We're on AA. Guess I'll wear my hiking boots the flying days . We only have 1 hour layovers too.
I think I now see exactly why we could get this flight nearly $200 per ticket cheaper than the ones out of Manchester.
Thanks for the reports. At least I won't be going into this expecting a good airport.
