And, if you do, do you like it? I just saw on Woot.com that a Rival Food Sealer is going for $17.99, plus $5.00 S&H. I've been thinking about one of these - it seems like it could be a definite food budget helper.

Also, can you use it for putting summer vegetables (tomatoes, squash, corn, etc.) in the freezer? Or do you just use it for splitting up large packs of meat into smaller packs?

I have a foodsaver food sealer and I love it. When my husband was deployed, I would send him homemade cookies and breads. We use it almost every day. It seals chip and cereal bags as well. I do use it to break up big things of meat and cheese. I know it is good for lettuce but I dont know about other veggies. I love it!!

I have a Foodsaver also. I have had it for about 5 years now and love it. Yes, I use it to break up big packs of stuff and for sealing chips and other things. Haven't used it for vegies or fruits though. I don't see why you couldn't.
