Anyone have a spare $620?

I had to have new tires put on my car. The original estimate was $100 per tire, so I was thinking I would have new tires on my car for $400 plus tax. What I wasn't told was that labor, disposal fees, etc. aren't included in that price, so all said and done, I paid $620.50 for new tires. That is a huge chunk out of my WDW budget. Oy! At least my Starwood AMEX is getting good usage. Anyone have a spare $620 to lend me?

They are Michelin tires from Sears. I wasn't expecting that much for them - my car dealership reccomended going to Sears because Sears would be less expensive than them. Live and learn, right?

I would've tried Tire Discounters, Michel Tire, Sam's club even does tires(some of them)...and they usually come with free rotation, valve stems, labor, disposal, etc....

I will have to agree with Shep. Next time, try Sam's or Discount Tire Co. We paid just over $250 for all 4, with lifetime rotation and balancing. We got top of the line, too.

Sorry it took such a chunk from your budget...

I'm gonna have to give a shout out to Walmart for purchasing tires!

Last month I had to put a new tire on my car because the old one was separating and once I got there, they noticed both my back tires were bad. They told me since I purchased my tires from Walmart and they hadn't reach the mileage on them yet, I could have them prorated. So instead of paying $140 for tires, I paid just a little over $90 for two of them! That included everything but tax and I've got lifetime free rotation on those tires or until I purchase a new car.

I'm sorry about the big hole in your Disney budget now. Let me check my pocketbook and see if I can find that extra $1000 I've got lying around.
