I'm trying to get rid of the things that cause stress in my life and putting on tree lights is one of them:D I just bought a pre-lit tree from QVC. Anyone have them? Do you like them?

I bought one on sale just for the fun of it...I put it in my bedroom. The thing is a total pain in my butt. it is easier to put lights on a real tree then to make sure all the branches are in the right place on the prelit one.

We bought a pre lit tree from QVC last year and sent it back. I didn't like the way it looked at all. There weren't nearly enough lights and it would have been more work to add more lights because of the way the lights were already on there. Plus the tree just didn't look right. But that may only be my illusion!!LOL Maybe your tree will be fine for you. We ended up buying a new tree.

Good Luck.

We bought a 9ft pre-lit tree last season on sale. And it is GREAT!!!
Ours has those new larger sized jewel cut looking bulbs. Plenty of lights!
It is just an awesome sight!! Our's takes a little time to assemble only due to it's size (requires a ladder!!).:)

I have one and I love it! DH had no problems putting it together.
Ours has plenty of lights.

I just bought my first artificial tree and it's a pre-lit one. It was a piece of cake to put together and looks really good, lots of lights. I'm kind of shocked because I'm really not an artificial tree lover. But it's in our bedroom (the real tree goes in the living room) and I love it!!!

I love ours! This will be our 3rd Christmas with this one. I can't believe how easy it is to put up. (Certainly easier than a real tree!) Ours have tons of lights, and is in 3 sections. We got it because I watered the tree 4 years ago and unknown to me, as I would pour water in one side, it was flowing out the other (we had a tree stand that you could manipulate to make the tree staight) so I was watering the hardwood floor! Thank heavens I didn't ruin the floor!
I'm not sure that I'd buy one where I couldn't see it in person. There are so many grades of fake trees. We saw many that we just wouldn't consider - too fake looking! There is such a range in price for fake trees. I believe we paid around $300 for ours. For sure, by this year we are ahead of the price game (we always got tall trees, and had them delivered - adds to the cost!)

I just bought a 9-ft. pre-lit tree yesterday. It has 1300 lights on it, and looks great. Much MUCH easier to set up than our old one that was all individual branches. This is just five sections to put together, fluff up the branches, plug in the lights and it's all set!

And, yes, I do have it up already. I've never put up a tree before Thanksgiving before, but I'll be out of town the next three weekends, and couldn't see waiting till the middle of December to do it!

This will be our third Christmas with the pre-lit tree and honestly I don't know how I lived without it. So instead of being a 2-day production -- get the tree up, string the lights, unstring the lights because the plugs don't fit right, then re-string the lights only to unstring the lights because there's a big dead spot with no lights, then restring the lights which are now fine but you're so aggrevated that you have to take some time away from the tree so you put the ornaments on the next day -- I can now get the tree up and decorated in a few hours.

And it has plenty of lights on it...which is very important to me!

I bought it on sale at Sears one year and it was the best money I ever spent.

I have a question? Does anyone have problems with the lights lighting every year. It seems that I have to buy new strings of lights every year because they never work. That is my big worry with the pre-lit tree.

We have always bought a real tree but I'm thinking of buying an artificial tree this year. We are leaving the day after X-mas and I wouldn't worry about a fake tree as much as a real one.
