Anyone have a good sales rep??

Hi there,

I hate to ask this on the boards but I am not sure what to do. Our current rep is nice but unfortunately I am the one educating her sometimes on things. For example, she assured me that the bonus points on my purchase could be booked 11 months in advance at any resort. I thought I read it was 7 months. Well, she tried to book them yesterday for me at 11 months and couldn't, thereby we missed the Holiday booking.

Soooo, I am wondering if anyone can recommend a good sales person who is not only nice but SAVVY to the ways of these points and nuances. I am really not happy thinking that I need to be the one to do the research for her. I'd like them to know the TRICKS of the trade, so to speak.

I have Todd Bearden and he has worked great for us. If I ever ask him a question he doesn't know, he checks and calls me back. He never gives me info that might be correct and will even double check himself if I bring up something that contradicts him!

Remember that once the sale is complete, you really have no reason to be in contact with your sales guide, unless you are dong an add-on. You make your future bookings through Member Service, not your guide. Guides usually only make reservations if someone is purchasing and needs a reservations using those points very quickly.

Our guide from the Disneyland DVC office is Lisa DeRosa. She was very knowledgeable and it was actually a pleasure to work with her!

Judy Kaufman hands-down. She is a veteran sales rep for DVC and she patiently waited 6 years until we finally decided to purchase this year!

Andrew Hicks was our salesperson. Very knowledgable and an all around nice person. He has called several times to follow up with us and keeps reminding us to visit next time we're "home"

She called reservations today for us again after I gave her a really hard time and was told that she could not book New Year's for us with the bonus points. We'd have to do that ourselves! Hmmm. BUT, she swears that we can do it ourselves tomorrow (not at the 7 month window).

I said ok, we won't buy the add on points through unless we get our New Year week. So tomorrow morning we are setting up a conference call with reservations and her and we'll see if we indeed can use our bonus points to book 11 months out Alas, it is now a contingecy of this sale. I'll let ya know what happens.

If she manages to let us use the bonus points for this booking, I am never going to doubt her again and I'll be her customer for life. If not, I am going to try one of the recommendations above! Thank you. K

Ask for MEGAN she is a doll. She is a senior sales rep. She took me on a tour about 9 years ago. And when I called this year (SOME PEOPLE TAKE A LONG TIME TO MAKE A DECISSION) she was still there and just as nice and knowledgeable.

We also have Todd Bearden and he is an absolute gem! We were in a bad car accident (waiting on our re-write) and had to postpone it for a couple of months because my Jeep was totaled and we had to use our DVC nest for the new Jeep and he was wonderful! We are (finally) getting ready to close and we couldn't ask for a better rep! He's very knowledgable, isn't the least bit pushy and my DH can be a PITA and he was beyond great with him! I highly recommend Todd!

We are in the process of closing on our 1st DVC purchase. We purchased through the Anaheim office and Nelida Mora is our rep. I don't know about any of the other reps, but she's been great.

We have James Stinson -- he is PHENOMENAL! When we first purchased he jokingly told us we were 'stuck with him for life.' He knows all the ins and outs and doesn't mind questions/calls. I would highly recommend him to anyone -- just let him know Bill Scott sent you!
