Anyone have a Chiminea?

Hi folks,

We just had our patio put in and now I'm itching to get a chiminea for it, what with the nice crisp fall nights now...

Anyway, does anyone have one? Like it? Hate it? Any advice on what to look for in one? Home Depot has some that are pretty cheap ~ under $100. A nursery nearby has them around $150. i honestly can't tell much of a difference.

We had one at our old home in AZ. I have to tell you that they are rather overpriced on the east coast. Mine looked like the Dolphin fish at the Dolphin Hotel in WDW, and I paid $45.00 for it about 4 years ago. They still sell for that out there, at garden centers and Mexican gift centers. It was painted with a blue green wash that did disappear from the heat of the fire, but it was still pretty at the pool. They don't give out a lot of heat, they are more for show, but on a chilly night it was fun to use.

I got one at Garden Ridge in GA for about 40 bucks 2 years ago. We enjoy it immensely when we are having cookouts or hanging out by the hottub!
