Anyone had to turn their furnace on yet

My husband started the gas fireplace yesterday morning...but no no furnace yet. We really like it cold!!!!

Well we're still up here in the mountains at the lake and although we don't have a furnace, we do have a wall mounted electric heater that I just put on a short while ago.. Between that and the heat my DH's oxygen concentrator throws off we should be okay..

It's 37 degrees right now and windy as all get out.. If the wind would just stop it probably wouldn't be too bad..

It has gotten quite chilly here in Minnesota. I have the thermostat set for 68 which is still too warm for me to sleep by so I open the window a crack. The gas company just loves people like me!

2 nights ago. There was a chill in the house. It only came on briefly to bring the house to 70 degrees. That first heat of the season STINKS though! It hasn't kicked on again and, I don't imagine it will given the 60's we're supposed to have!

Not yet. May have to tonight if it gets much colder out. It's supposed to be 40 for our low tonight so we should be O.K. (I hope). I would really love to go all week w/ no AC or heat, would be great for our gas and electric bill.

We don't have a furnace, but we have bled the radiators and had them going once last week. It is chilly at night here, but warms up nicely during the day still.

Turned it on a few times this past month..........but this morning I think I turned it on for the season.......suppose to be chilly here this week (30-40 at night with some frost)!!

Ive had my heat on 4 different times so far. If my thermostat reads under 69, I turn it on.

I'm in "Dan Murphy Territory", so yes, as Dan said, the furnace goes off and on every so often.

Wwith hubby working away during the week, I had him turn it on and get it reeady a couple of weeks ago. The thermostat is set at 65, so for a couple of nights it has kicked on. My morning glories got hit last night, so it must have been colder.

The rule in my house is no furnace until November.If your cold ,put on a sweater.There was a chill in the house this morning(temp went down to 2C overnight)but I will just let the morning sun heat the house up again.

I just remarked to my mom yesterday that I haven't worn (long) pants since at February (at least). Still have to have the AC running 24/7!

I haven't done it yet but thought about it the other night. They turned our heat on in our offices today and I am absolutely roasting. I don't think there is any air moving at all in my office - I have two fans going on right now!!!! UGH
