Anyone had any luck with priceline?

I've only heard of Swan/Dolphin on Priceline, I don't think you will find any of the Disney-owned resorts.

They do have a "we take all your money no matter what policy" (I've heard you need to show evidence of something serious like hospital stay in order to get a refund) but I've used at least a couple dozen times and the hotel has always lived up to expectations. If you don't mind that "I don't know where I'm going to stay" insecurity, then it's usually a pretty good deal. Consulting sites like www.betterbidding.com will give you a general sense of what is available and typically people on the forum will help you with a bid if you need it.

We used priceline in 2004. We were quite happy with what we got in Tampa & Orlando. As SeattleRedBear said, they have a strict cancellation policy & you have to be comfortable with not knowing where you will be staying until your bid is accepted. Another site for bidding help is biddingfortravel.com, but beware that the owner of the site is VERY fussy about how you ask for help...have heard her called a nazi, lol. If you follow her rules, you will get good advice. Helps you with how much to start your bid, how to get free rebids, etc.

For Orlando, we only wanted resort level. We got the Marriott Orlando World Center for $83/night. EXCELLENT price for the level of quality. Beautiful resort.

I used priceline for a stay in the DTD area last December. I got the Hilton for about $70. It was great staying there. I have also heard that the Dolphin comes up as a won bid every once in a while, but the chances are you'll end up with another resort rather than the Dolphin given what I've seen. I have also used biddingfortravel.com and found it to be an excellent resource.
