we are having a dessert party at Morocco as part of our "welcome weekend" for our guests. we are having about 25 people, total. has anyone else had a dessert party at Morocco? did you add tables and chairs? did you enjoy the view, what menu did you pick, etc.??

thank you!!

Hi! I've been reading about people using Morocco in the future, but I haven't seen any past ones. I have heard that they will not allow tables and chairs, but you can always ask. I've also heard sometimes they give different answers!

OK I personally have not been to one at Morocco but I was invited to one a few years ago but I was unwell so had to decline but I did manage to get a sneeky peek and thought that the layout was fine. The bride did not use tables or chairs just those for the desserts but it worked out perfectly.

Also I viewed Illuminations myself from Morocco a couple of weeks ago and I thought the view was great, more than great, so deffo recommend :thumbsup2

We are going to have our Intimate DP in Morocco in January. And Sam, it's great to hear about the view as that is one of the things I was most worried about.

Our DP is being photographed, so I will make sure to post pics here because I know that Morocco DP pics are hard to find!

We had been told that the max. for the Morocco location is 20 people and we are not allowed the tables and chairs set up. But if you are having 25, maybe it is a bigger set up and would make different allowances for your party. I hope so and good luck! :goodvibes

We just had our dessert party in Morocco last Thursday. I'm working on a TR, so that part will be coming up soon. I really loved the location for the setup and viewing of Illuminations. We were told there was no options for chairs considering the size of the location. There is a ledge at sitting height that was comfortable enough our few elderly and exhausted friends and family. You're only there for an hour so no one was really looking for chairs anyway. The space was actually larger than I thought it would be, it's more of a rectangle than a square open space. We had 7 tables available and that helped create conversation areas for everyone. We had the dessert classics in miniature menu and substituted the chocolate brownies for the pecan pies and also added tuxedo strawberries. Everything was sooo good. Oh my goodness I can't even tell you how much everyone loved them all. We had a photographer for the event so I'll be sure to share those when they're available. I don't think you'll be disappointed with it.

thank you all so much for the info. Starseed--my WP told me that the max number of people for morocco is 30, which i hope is the case! and fantasia sam thanks for the info about the view. i have seen illuminations from morocco many times, but i just wanted to have an idea of whether the DP area was as good a view, if not better.

engagedatwdw--i totally forgot that we couldn't have chairs/tables set up there. i am glad there's a ledge for people to kind-of sit if they have to, and tables so people can mingle and gather and snack. thanks for the report!
