Anyone gotten a Beach Cottage at 7 month out?

Has anyone here ever been able to reserve a beach cottage at VB at the 7 month window?

We have twice. We had one for 4 nights in March 2001, and one for 3 nights in August 2002. Both booked at 7 months.

I once got one at 5-6 months out in January. The stay was for four nights including the weekend nights, so that might have been why it was available.

We got one in August 2001. I called each day at the 7 month window and got the 4 nights I needed.

We were able to get one at 6 months for October one year. We booked a Wednesday and Thursday on points. Then we paid cash for Friday, getting the 25% members' discount. It's not as impossible as you might think, probably because so many points are required.
