Hi

We are due to get married on November 9th this year at the Polynesian Resort (Intimate wedding)

Firstly I would love to hear from anyone who has 'been there and done that' to let me know what they thought and secondly any tips/advice you would like to give in particular with relation to the Polynesian, but any advice would be most gratefully received

Many thanks
Sharon

We got married there at sunset point in 1996. They did not have as many choices then as they do now.

We decided to do our ceremony first thing in the morning since it was a second marriage for us both. We had about 10 people.

It was lovely. We had the guitar player, the flowers were beautiful and the cake was delicious.

We had the character breakfast right after for everyone at Ohana's. Then we spent the rest of the day in the parks with out wedding hats on.

I still remember hearing the whistle from the boat that goes across the lagoon and watching the monorail go around in the distance - let alone facing the castle for some wonderful memories.

We also taped it! They had chairs out for our guests to sit down as well. They had the cake right out there on a lovely table along with two glasses to make a toast right after the ceremony. They also gave us a mickey and minnie stuffed doll. Very cute.

Thank you, I have to confess to being very excited we have 5 guests flying with us from the UK and possibly another three travelling from other destinations. Thus far we have not been given much information about what extras can be booked. We are getting married at 5.00pm so I am hoping for a sunset to make the day just perfect!!!

Thank you so much for taking time to write to me

We are getting married at Sunset Point on Sept 8 at 5pm. We are having dinner at 1900 Fare at 7 pm. Rev Tim is now performing the ceremony (we have not spoke to him yet, Rev Day was supposed to do it but he is having surgery). As soon as we get back I'll give you any advise I have. Megan just got married there last week so I'm sure she will have plenty of advise soon. Good luck and happy planning.

Thank you - I look forward to your reply post wedding in the meantime have an absolutely fabulous time!!

Thank you once again
Wishing you health, wealth and happiness!

We had a VR at sunset pointe this past december and it was GORGEOUS!

Good luck with your plans.

My husband and I were married January 12th this year at sunset pointe. It was absolutely beautiful. We also got some really nice shots down by the shoreline with the palm trees. They now have a cement pathway that leads up to the place were the ceremony takes place. I guess before it was just grass. The best part was when rev jack day announced Mr. and Mrs. the boat blew it's horn. It was perfect timing. I'm still in the process of getting my photos posted. THey will be up soon.

I am back TODAY from my 7-14-04 wedding @ the Polynesian. It was WONDERFUL!!! I would not have gotten married anywhere else. It is a beautiful site to get married. I am sure you will love it!
