wow- someone is selling 1000 points on the time share store- at $88/pt the grand total is $88,000- I don't know about anyone else, but I don't have $88,000 laying around.

wow- imagine the vacations you could take with those points!

I was looking at all three of those 1,000 pointers, but none of the darn things have any banked points! :rotfl2:

That's awesome! I was just looking at the Adventures from Disney Trips. That contract should about cover my wish list. :goodvibes

No doubt .. wouldn't it be wonderful :rotfl:

It's not the 88K that will get you, it's the MF's on such large packages!

Whoever bought this received terrible advice from their DVC advisor. I originally purchased 1,000 points, but Chris Mansour MADE me purchase 4 separate contracts for 250 points each.

This was the BEST advice I have ever gotten as I later decided to sell two contracts and keep two.

I actually made a nice profit selling the two contracts and am happy with my current point level.

I would have been screwed if I bought one giant contract and then had to suffer with the one transfer rule.....ouch!

You know, it's one thing when you see an OKW contract with 1000 pts for sale....circumstances and preference can change after 10 years. But an SSR contract for 1000 pts...that's an indecisive person!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Probably already used up their one transfer for this year too. :teeth:

Wouldn't it be interesting if all of them were originally owned by the same person, or group??? :teeth:

Oh no not the mush conspiracy again :scared1:

Well tonight the lottery is worth $163,000,000.00 , I think I'll go buy the WINNING ticket so I can buy a couple of these 1000 point contracts <G>

One good thing about buying mega contracts on the resale market is that you can often lowball them and they'll still pass RoFR.

I agree. My DVC advisor is Gib McCain and he suggested the same thing. I would have not thought to do that until it was too late. The 1000 pt contracts surprised me but not as much as a few contracts I have seen lately. One resale company is selling pts for $101. and $98. per point. Am I mistaken that it would be cheaper and easier to buy from Disney at rate? :confused3

Cheaper maybe... easier maybe no.

1. You have to buy a minimum of 150 points thur Disney if you are a first time buyer so if you are one of the folks who wants to "get in" with a 50 point contract that doesn't work

2. If its a sold our resort you may have to waitlist for Disney. BCV for example has been rumored to have a long waitlist.

Also remember the SELLER decided that was the point value. The resale company can advise, but the seller makes the final decision.
