Anyone gone on a Murder Mystery Weekend?

DH and I went to one with another couple

It was a blast!!! But the company doesn't do them anymore. I would recommend going with another couple, it adds to the fun.

I've always wanted to do this but I haven't yet. Going with another couple sounds like it would make the event more fun.

I've always wanted to do something fun like this too...it's just weird enough for my twisted mind! :)

We used to have some friends that I actually thought about trying to go to one, but we don't talk anymore :rolleyes:

Still like to try it though...

::yes::

I've never dona a weekend, but a restaurant where my brother used to work hosted mystery dinners. I went to 4 or 5 of them. We always had a blast. You have to really get into it and play your part if you want to have a good time.

DH & I went to a Murder Mystery in Vermont a long time ago - maybe 12yrs ago?
I would do it again if the opportunity arose

We did one in Boston about 15 years ago. The actors were a group from New York. If the gun in the first murder were real, I wouldn't be here telling you about it. I was in a direct line between the door opened just wide enough for a black gloved hand to reach through and the first murder victim. I think there were a total of three murders through out the week-end. Our awesome waiter was arrested during breakfast the second day. The person who got the most votes for being the murderer was actually a paying guest like we were!

We had an absolute blast. We have tried several dinner theaters and felt very let down. You knew who the actors were and just watched them put on a play. For a good part of the week-end murder, we were never sure who the actors were. As I said, our waiter was arrested. The Boston PD even handcuffed him and walked him through the hotel lobby to a waiting police car. The paramedics took the victims out on stretchers.

If you love mysteries, go! Keep your eyes and ears open. And most important, suspect everyone!

I did a bed and breakfast with my girl scout troop. We spent the night in an old house.

I was the killer! It was ok. It felt more like a scavenger hunt. But it was fun. If we had all adults I am sure I would have enjoyed it more.

I've always wanted to do something like this but have never had the opportunity.

We've hosted a few parties at home where you buy one of those games and send out invitations asking everyone to play a character. They've been fun, if not cheesy. But everyone was such great sports about it that they always turned out great (or maybe that was just the wine.....) Of coure, that was pre-kids, and we haven't had the chance (or the energy) to do one since.

Twice. And the second time, I sat right next to the murderer. He was such a nice guy. Until he jumped up and shouted out that he was the murderer! DH claims I turned ten shades of purple and nearly jumped out of my skin! (I believe the first time we had to vote who we thought the murderer was. The second time, there was NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!)
Very fun evening, both times.
