We have booked the Emerald Isle trip for July 27, 2008. Was wondering if anyone else has booked this trip? There will be 4 of us...Me, DH, DD9, DD11.:yay:

We are going on the May 18th trip, DH, my best firiend, her DH and Ds (he's 9), we can't wait!!!

We're going to Ireland for the July 24th tour - me, DH, and DD11. We're going to be in Dublin on the 20th, so I have a few days to explore before the tour starts. I already have a list of places I want to see: Newgrange, Glendalough, Wicklow, Powerscourt ... I might need even more time!

DH, DMother, DAunt and myself have the Sept 7th-14, 08 ABD to Ireland booked through DVC. I'm glad all of you are going before me so that you can post lots of trip reports, tips and pictures to help me plan my vacation! LOL

I know we're all gonna have a great time. I hope we can all find other Disboarders that are traveling with us. That would be great!

Does anyone know how to set up one of those lists like Disboarders have set up for those cruising with DCL?

Just a thought.........
Cheryl

My DH just said to me this morning that he want to go to Ireland. Lo and behold, guess what came in the mail today....the Adventures by Disney brochure. It must be an omen. If we are going, I'd like to go this summer.

If you plan to go in summer 2008, it's best to book really soon or you may not get the date that you want. This is one of the more popular adventures.

DH and I 9/18 (last one in 08!). Can't wait to hear about all of your experiences! :cool1:

Newgrange is fantastic. I was there 15 years ago, before the digs in Howth and some other point in the area were completed. You just drove up to the main burial mound. At that time, they took you into the inner chambers -- I'm not sure if they still do or not. I'm envious!

Brú na Bóinne (Newgrange) looks awesome. If I'm good I'll post a trip report. No promises however. I always think I'll do one and I never do.:rolleyes1

We're going end of June, I think it's 6/26.:thumbsup2

We are also going on the 6/26 tour! It's me, DH, DD16, and DS13 - we can hardly wait!!:cool1:

Another one for 9/18 - DH and me. Now the planning begins ... What to pack, what kind of weather will we have, and so on.

Any trip reports will be appreciated:surfweb:

You all will have an excellent time. I did this trip last June and it was the best trip I have ever taken. Dromoland Castle is to die for. The weather was ok, it was cloudy alot but thankfully, didn't rain alot. Our tour guides were outstanding. (Jason & Jeanae) And all the little "Disney" things they had for us really made the trip wonderful.

My husband and I did this tour last September and LOVED It. He wrote a great trip report if you would like to read it. It is in the ABD section. We didn't have any rain and our small group was so much fun. Enjoy your tour!! This year in Sept. we are doing the Viva Italia.

1whooper, thanks for the trip report. It was helpful. Any ideas on clothing to pack? We will be traveling in September. Do we need dressy clothing? Are the included dinners formal-ish or casual?

TIA for any help

Maxs gm,
Everyone dressed casual on the trip except for one night. We wore our jeans alot. No one wore shorts. You should also bring a light jacket since it can get cool at night. Be prepared for lots of fun and good food.

We are going July 17 for our 25th anniversary  . I am originally from Ireland and have spent many youthful summers back there but never took it seriously. Now I want the whole Disneyesque experience :tink:
