Just found out my niece in this competition next summer. Can't wait to spend a week with my family! (They still live in NJ.) The competition is at Coronado Springs, but I haven't heard many good things about this resort. Any ideas on where else to stay that would still be fairly easy to get to convention center at Coronado Springs?

I'm at work so don't have time to list all the good things about CSR right now but I'm sure others will quickly jump in.

Take a look at the CSR info thread. There are tons of recent threads about recent visits and most of them are very positive. I'd go back there in a heartbeat! Loved it, it's beautiful, has all the amenities, quiet areas, decent food - the list can go on and on.

Thanks vanyel. I guess my main concern is that this will be a very busy place with 100's of dancers all running around trying to eat, and am afraid that the food areas will be too crowded come meal time.

Has anyone been to CSR during a convention involving lots of children?

What type of dance?

All types. It's an annual competition (has been in Orlando before), where dance studios from all over the country compete in all age groups and all dance types.

My niece is 9 and will be performing in a small group for a tap number and a jazz number, and then a large production number of approx. 30 students of her dance company. (Their production number this year will be "Under the Sea") I'm really looking forward to seeing her dance again! :cheer2:
