Hello ~ this forum is such a great place to get information! We are planning our 1st trip to Disney. We will be going the 1st week of March 2009. We are still trying to decide on a resort but I think we've about decided on the Caribbean. I would love to hear from anyone else that is going at that time. From what I have read it seems as though that will not be a peak week since spring breaks start the following week. I'm hoping!

Hello! Have fun planning your trip! We won't be there during that time, but I wanted to share that we took our first trip to WDW in late March 2007. (The week before Easter) I had heard LOTS of horror stories about how packed and bad it was going to be...and it wasn't bad at all. Our only choices were to go during our spring break or over the summer...I figured it was going to be busy either way, so I'd rather wait in line in nice temps in March rather than the heat of summer. :goodvibes So, no worries, don't let anything you read scare you--go have lots of fun!

Been there 8 times in the last 10 years, we'll be there in '09. Great time to go, moderate crowds, weather in the 70s and 80s mostly although it was 60 the first day this year. It will probably be ESPN Weekend during your stay, if any of your crew are into sports.

We went last year March 07 the first full week. This was our first non-summer trip. We are completly hooked. Never waited longer than 35 mins for anything, and when leaving the parks at night you didn't feel like you were falling over top of people b/c it was so crowded. There was no elbow to elbow in the shops... ok sorry got of topic... anywhoo we are completly hooked on going in march, but we are trying fall next year to see the fall decor and MNSSHP. I think you will be very satisfied with your desicion.

BTW, the only time is was close to congested was on Friday before we left but it was only for a couple hours in the afternoon. But it was b/c they were starting cheerleading competitions at WWofS. I guess they were trickling over during a break, but it was from about 12-5 or 6. Then it was back to ppl widely spread.
