Anyone going on the Wonder Oct 14, 2010?

Hi! We will be on this cruise too and it's our first. We are excited and we have a lot of first timer questions, so forgive me. Going on this cruise is my 2 year old granddaughter, my daughter and son and of course me. My son turns 30 on the cruise and I want to show him a good time. Any ideas on decorating the stateroom?
Also, I see there is an optional dress night. I read pros and cons. Is this for adults only?
Any tips you can give a first timer trying to show her family a good time let me know.
I hope to meet all of you. I have read about fish extenders, that sounds fun. What do I need to do?
Thanks
Susy

I'm sure lots of people will answer and we all had questions our first cruise so ask away and we will try to be helpful.:wizard:

On the disneycruise site you will find decorating party themes for your stateroom. Some people make door magnets and decorate their doors. Many people like to customize their gifts and choose

Everyone can dress up if they choose to do so. Not everyone will want to participate. I would have to say that just being onboard is special and that the entire cruise is a good time. So just enjoy yourself. You will get a pamphelt called the Navigator slipped under your door each night while you're out to dinner. When you return you can review it for the following day's activities and see what you want to do. Many people bring highlighters. You always have more to do than you will have time for. Also, DCL has special celebration packages available on it's website. You should look over them and see if any interest you.

You can make fish extenders or buy them on ebay. LisaG520 is organizing a FE list. Request to be added to the list and give her your information.....names of adults and kids in stateroom, kids ages, stateroom number. Then you put your fish extender outside of your door and DISers will secretly deposit gifts while you're not looking. At the same time, you follow the list of participants and give your gift to each one on the list. You can gift per cabin or per person or per child depending on your gift. Some people make gifts, some go to the dollar store, etc. It should not be expensive.

I hope that helps a little Susy. I'm sure you will think of more things as you go along. Please ask. We are happy to help.:goodvibes

Thank you! I will go check out the fish extenders.

I'm thinking I might actually finish up the FE gifts this week :)

I've got my gifts already. I'm keeping it real simple and easy. No tags, names or bags. Just the gift in the FE. It's generic so it works for kids and adults. No worries, no problems!;):goodvibes;)

This will be our first Disney Cruise and we are really looking forward to it. We recently went on our first cruise and fell in love with it. We are huge Disney fans and look forward to seeing all the magic awaiting us.

Just an fyi, we got our cabin changed this morning to 7509 now, same catogory, just higher up. I saw it available and changed it this morning.

Kinda makes me want to move to Florida!!!

I love your profile pic!!!

Can't believe they got so many people in...

I was wondering what it would be like if my family all made it... with my luck I'd be stuck on the bottom!!! :lmao:
