Anyone going home in Sept??

We are planning a trip for Sept 11-16. We would like to get a Grand Villa at Old Key West at the 7 month window. Just wondering how many members will be risking the hurricane season this year and whether or not I'll have trouble. Any thoughts??

This would be interesting to know. We had originally planned to go in September, but you're right-the hurricanes scared us off. So we're going in November (like you, to OKW). But I'd love to know-who else is brave and going in September?

Depending on what people do with their time after the DVC Cruise, there may be more members at WDW than usual. The cruise is 9/4-8. We're planning to go to WDW until 9/11, but I'm sure you'll have people staying longer to get in a full week at the parks. That said, we're not using our DVC points for our stay - we're doing AKL-C.

We are going to be there IN September. We have a 2 bedroom at BCV.

And as HookdOnWDW predicted - we will be one of those folks staying on-site both before the DVC cruise and after. Already have reservations for the after at VWL and POR before, but planning on switching to OKW before and SSR after at the 7 month window - which is really REALLY soon!

We cruised between hurricanes last year and spoke with someone who was at WDW during the hurricane and they said they'd do it again in a flash - there were NO crowds when they were allowed back in the parks, and they never felt unsafe. And we had the smoothest seas on our cruise - it was our first cruise ever, so I got spoiled quick (even if we did have to miss CC).

We plan on going in Sept., but not on the cruise. I'm glad someone mentioned that there might be more than usual crowds at that time due to the cruise because we have to book at the 7 month window. (Next time I buy, it will be where I want to stay not just where the best incentive is.)

So now I may think of planning for the week of the 11th.

We'll be at Boardwalk for one day before and two days after the cruise!

I will be at SSR from Sept 18-25 Sun-Sun. And staying at POP the first Fri and Sat Sept 16-17. A total of 9 nights and I have a nine night trip booked for May. (5 nights on points and 4 with cash)

I was at WDW last Sept right after Ivan...(which really missed WDW area) and left the day before Jeanne was arriving. I have been the last 4 Sept and 04 was the only year there was any weather issues. I am not going to worry about any problems except getting a PS at the Castle.

Hope to catch up with some Disers while at WDW give a yell if you're going to be there.

BWV Sept. 24 - Oct 1st

dh and i, our 2 (ages 3 and 1 at that time) and my sister and her kids (16, 14 & 10). maxing out the 2br occupancy

this is our first time treating anyone to dvc and we are excited to see how they like it!

We will be at BCV on Sept 2 before the cruise and September 7-10 after the cruise. We have never been this time of year and would never plan to go this time of year, but couldn't pass up the member cruise.

We'll be at BCV the last week of September in a 2bdr with our best friends and their 3 kids. It will be their first trip to WDW and we are excited to share the magic with them.

We have 4 nights Contemporary Tower then 16 nights in a 1 bedroom at SSR booked from 10th September. At 7 months we hope to change to OKW and make the room a 2 bed for 5 of the nights so a Canadian friend can join us for part of the trip.

We were at SSR for 2 weeks last September. Although Hurricane Jeanne cause us to miss a day and a half of regular WDW type activities, we felt safe and not scared. Obviously we would hate there to be another hurricane and it is probably unlikely for the hurricanes to be so frequent as last year anyway.

We have had 3 2 week trips fairly recently but still I am itching to get back. September seems ages away!!!!

We will be there (from UK) Set 14th -26th at BCV and then 26th - 29th at GF Concierge. If a hurricane comes - so be it.

We are going in Sept smack dab in the middle of hurrican season We are going for my MILs birthday and we are cruising on DCL then staying onsite for a few days. We cannot wait. We do have travel insurance for this trip though LOL

Going Sept. 25 thru Sept. 30th. We were there last year and had to cut our trip short due to Hurricane Jeanne. Staying in a 1 bedroom OKW. Meeting friends there.

We'll be at BWV Aug 28-SEpt 4. I am not at all worried about hurricanes while I'm there.
I will admit to being a little worried that my flight to Orlando would get cancelled because of weather, but that's about it.

As I recall, Frances and Jeanne both visited WDW in September last year. I wonder who's coming by this year?

We were at VWL this past year during "Jeanne" and are going back this September 19-29.
