Anyone get the H1N1 vaccine yet?

Got mine last week at work. The injection site was a bit tender for 3 days, but my arm was not sore. I was able to move it freely and without pain. Can't say the same for the seasonal flu shot. My arm was sore for 2-3 days and I could not lift it above elbow level.

OP - I'm terrified of needles too. I make a fist with the hand opposite the arm that is being injected. As I'm poked with the needle, I clench that fist and tighten that arm instead. Doing this allows the arm being injected, to remain relaxed.

I got mine on Saturday. Our county health department opened them up to people outside the targeted risk group, so DH and I both got one. We haven't had any side effects other than a tender arm where the injection went in.

Thank you for the tip!!

I just got mine a 1/2 hour ago and I'm not in the targeted group. Our local Walgreen's Take Care clinic just got them in today. Our dds got theirs 2 weeks ago at the Ped office.

Remember how everyone was freaking out a month or so ago when they couldn't get the vaccine? Omg it was like everyone was going to drop dead of the swine flu instantly.

Now they have them at almost every drs office, I even saw that they're doing them at the Kroger pharmacy for $10.00.

So much for panic.
