Does anyone have any idea when they're likely to close the bookings on our May 28 Med cruise? The reason I ask is because I see that most of the stateroom categories still have rooms available with just over two weeks left before departure... clearly this cruise hasn't sold too well and they're holding out for some last-minute bookings before finally giving us long-suffering GTYers our assignments. I get the feeling that until they close bookings, we won't get our assignments.

our best guess is that our transatlantic closed at about one week out

I really have no idea. It seems that their whole policy for stateroom allocation is hard to fathom and depends on many variables. I'm sure there's a method to the apparent randomness but I for one can't figure it out.

Well, lets hope we both get a good cabin after all this wait. I booked in February and this wait seems like forever.. But the price was right! pj

Indeed, let's hope so! I suspect we'll get our assignments at the same time, and fingers crossed that's going to be very soon now.

we have had several on our meet board move from insides to OV in the last few days (we sail on 14th)-- so patience has worked well for some on our cruise....

I can't believe you are still waiting! I was on this thread awhile back waiting for ours and we got cat 9 handicapped cabin 6006. We sail on Thursday!

I hope you get your assignment soon. Now I'm anxious to see where you end up!

What kind of GTY were you booked on?

I think DCL are holding back on assigning rooms to people like PJ and me who have VGT GTYs (verandah VGTYs) until the last possible moment. I checked in at the 75 day mark.

Yes. that's what I think too. I checked in at 105 days and I have printed my stuff and received my documents and luggage tags.I am now thinking that we'll get the cabins at the 7 day mark.pj

I wonder how many of us there are? I know there are 3 but there must be more than that. Like I said, I did get my documents this week but Disney did say we don't need them as long as we printed out the signature pages on-line.. I guess it is just a waiting game but I am betting we'll get the cabins next Friday. pj

I think I saw at least one other in our VGT "team" somewhere on these boards, and yeah for sure there must be many others (I guess only a small number of the total cruisers are actually on these boards).
FedEx tried to deliver my docs today but there was no-one home so we won't get them until Monday, but as you say, we don't even need them anyway.

So you're guessing next Friday for our assignments... hmm, I'm gonna be a little more optimistic and say this coming Monday
