Anyone Game? 2 Castles and a Road Trip TR! Last Day and TR Wrap Up! #2796; 10/01

Believe it or not, I had come full circle.

Shrimp, lamb, pav and Wolf Blass. I can have that anytime at home

Well, maybe you can...

My first F&W, the best thing ever was the lamb at Australia, then set up between Africa and Italy. It was so tasty that even at the ridiculously high price I went back for seconds! It was so tasty! Though they had brought enough to last the festival according to their projections, they ran out in 3 days! Had to go to some local stuff after that. Not the same.

A very nice morning at EPCOT with barely anyone in World Showcase. Nice pictures from the Scotland stand that morning. Maelstrom is a nice ride.

Great update.

:wave2: Hi stranger ! FP- and FP + during the testing it was allowed and even encouraged for a time to use both ..some people thought it was not allowed and was somehow cheating the system...BAH to that ! CMs were told to encourage BOTH anyway moot point FP- ( old paper ones ) all gone at WDW only place to find it now is old ones for sale on eBay :sad2:

Hiya and thanks for replying! I'm apparently very out of the loop. That or didn't feel the need to be in the loop :rotfl2:

Oh my goodness..that tart...yep didn't share either and don't feel bad about it! :rotfl:

I'm shocked that you didn't want to go to Norway back in the day. You seem so adventurous and up for anything!

I do enjoy Maelstrom and would miss it if it got replaced with Frozen...although i'm sure it would be a nice change.

...........Even these Mickey Heads counted!

MY MUG!!! I have that mug! I love that mug. It's humongous and holds copious amounts of coffee.....

Another great installment. Your salmon looks yummy. I'm getting anxious to sample the Flower & Garden version of the food booths!!

.

Wow breakfast looks delicious! I may have licked the screen :rolleyes1

I can't believe you almost didn't go to Norway! It looks spectacular and it's definitely on my list for Europe :goodvibes

I can't tell any difference between the Epcot version and the one at DCA. About the only thing I could pick was that the smell of oranges was stronger at Epcot than at California. Go figure! But that could have been me and perhaps my sense of smell was more sensitive in the morning.

Lucky you...Soarin' twice! :thumbsup2 I split my Tuesday between HS and AK but "stopped by" Epcot that evening, after riding the boat from HS to International Gateway entrance. I made it to Soarin' about 15 minutes before closing and walked directly on the ride! :cool1: I laughed when I read your comment about the orange smell being stronger in Epcot. DD and her family visited DL during spring break and she said the "only difference she could tell was the STRONGER orange smell" in DL! :rotfl:

Well...I am finally caught up and now you'll have me singing...AGAIN..."It's A Small World" as I drift off to sleepyland! Marvelous pictures on IASW and the HM shots are awesome. Such nice memories for me but sure wish our group would have had a photographer get a shot of all of us in front of the castle! :faint: Oh well...we'll remember to do that next time! :thumbsup2

Nice pics of the parade. Love the Mickey pic.
Love the fireworks location and pics.
I am going to have to come back here before I go to Italy and Paris for the pics helps.
Epcot golf ball. LOL. That is what I call it.
LOl. It is not you, Goofy is tall.
I lost a PP pic. Just posted about it in my last post. It is so annoying.
Soarin’ is my favorite ride in Epcot.
LOl. 6 times. Good for you.
Why be flamed for that. I dipped when we went. If they didn’t want it to happen they should tell people no.
That is some car he designed.
Love the pp pic of everyone looking down at cameras. LOl
I love the cranberry bog.
The dessert in Scotland looked good.
Maelstrom is so short I feel. The movie is worth once seeing. LOL.
I am all caught up. Fun updates.

I still can't believe how empty Epcot was. Your "breakfast" sounded nice. I have to admit that I have kind of outgrown Maelstrom. I used to love it, but I can't remember when I last did this even though it is usually a walk on now.

Corinna

Interesting. I wonder how many times we outgrow rides?
I keep wondering when I'm going to outgrow the MK rides; but it hasn't happened (yet).

Good Grief woman looking at the last picture Do you have a picture in the attic like Dorian Gray ? Do you not age at all ?

Love the way you don't apologize to DH ;)

As it turns out, I DO have an attic.
There IS a picture of me up there.
But I haven't checked it in an age to see if it's gone Dorian Gray creepy.

:rotfl:

When Ed and I got together last we went to Norway too That large troll you're pictured with is gone The young CMs had no idea what the heck Ed was talking about when he kept asking I love the Stave church too but the ride wasn't as I remembered either

It's gone???? :faint:

I liked that Troll.

Scotland booth Vegetarian Haggis My Grandfather ( on my mother's side ) was born and raised in Glasgow he would have had a fit about that I can't wrap my mind around it NOT that I would have be adventurous enough to try the real thing no maam I am a chicken when it comes to new food No that dessert I would have been all over Walker Shortbread a real weakness for me add toffee
and chocolate :faint:

I can see you skipping the beer that early hour, especially on an empty stomach ...in your picture though there's a young girl that looks like she's going to indulge

No vegetarian haggis for me. :sad2:

I wouldn't have been able to indulge in beer at any age.

I agree, how come you don't look any older, but I sure do. We enjoy Maelstrom too. I've been drooling over the DCL Norway itineraries for 2015, but it's out of my price range.

 But I have aged.

I would expect Norway is a GREAT country to cruise. We caught some of the ships that went through the fjords and it was beautiful. Best thing? I didn't get seasick at all. The water was really calm.

What a fun morning and while I won't lick the monitor, that banoffee does look tasty. LOVE the lack of crowds. We went on Malestorm for the first time ever this past trip and I have to admit...none of us got it.

We may have enjoyed the movie after more, and most certainly the shop.

The movie sure gives you a taste of Norway.......and the shop is one of my favourites in Epcot.

What an awesome morning! I love F&W and just can't believe there were no crowds yet!

Jill in CO

It was a dream morning where crowds were concerned. :thumbsup2

The Australian lamb that I had in 2010 was very very good.

Phew! Was about to lose faith in the female gender! Y'all supposed to know about color! :)

Meanwhile, everybody do the troll!

:)

Jud

Nice pics of you and that troll. :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Bret. We had a great time on this morning.

It wasn't that I didn't want to go to Norway.....it was more about that I didn't want to spend the money going to and being in Norway. Scandinavia is super expensive and we were in Denmark before heading to Norway. We'd gone through a week's budget in 3 days in Denmark and I wasn't keen to run through more money in Norway.

In any event, it's a moot point now.

Oh how horrified I was when I saw that Australian booth.

It's about time Epcot got it's facts right.

:rotfl: :rolleyes: pirate::p

:scratchin Not this old chestnut, again.

Seems like New Zealand was ALSO at Epcot. You could have put the pav on your menu; but you didn't which means it belongs to Australia. :rolleyes1

That's a gorgeous mug. I really wanted to purchase one for myself. Problem is that my mug cupboard is overflowing with mugs and I don't need another one. Pity really - I really like that mug.

Thanks. I hope to see your pictures of the food booths from F&G. :hyper:

Norway is spectacular. The fjords are amazing and the small villages are just so picturesque. We were there in August; and the sun set for about an hour. I'd be happy to go back someday.

:rotfl2: That's so strange.

Sounds like you had a great day yourself. You and I were at Epcot on the same night. We could have caught up. :thumbsup2

Yes. I wish we had gotten a photopass picture of all of us in front of the castle too. NEXT time for sure. :thumbsup2

Thanks Scott. Yes, it is annoying to lose a PP picture, isn't it?

There were quite a few threads on the TPAS section of the Dis complaining about people double dipping when we were allowed to. It was quite hotly debated. But, it's a moot point now.

Couldn't you have gotten it in reserve for when you break one? I know DH always manages to crack my favs, and then I turn them into planters or storage.

Seriously. I have SOOOOOO many mugs. I have more than 60 mugs in my cupboards right now and those are the ones that I officially count. :scared:

See, that's when you need to get your DH to build you a special, dedicated mug display shelf. Just for your Disney mug collection. That's where I'm headed, REAL soon.... :rotfl:
