Anyone from Virginia ?

Hi Everyone,
This is not really a Disney question, but hope someone can help.
We are flying over to the states for our vacation next year, and have booked a hotel called Mountain lake, in the blue ridge mountains.
Can anyone tell me anything about this place apart from the fact it was used in the movie Dirty Dancing. Any othe info about the area waould be really apreciated

Beautiful place!! Excellent food! I can't give you a lot of details, but it is very nice. It is near a small town called Blacksburg, where Va Tech (a fairly large university) is. I'm not sure what kind of activities you are looking for or what they have at Mtn Lake, but Blacksburg should have things going on. If you want to travel a little further, Roanoke is about 1 hour (I think) from Mtn Lake. There is a lot of sightseeing, etc. around here. If you come in the fall the leaves will be really pretty.

Great place! My husband proposed to me there.

They have lots of activities at the hotel: boating, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, badminton and other lawn games, a small beach, etc. They also have board games and movies and a barn with ping pong and video games for rainy days. It's a lot of fun!
