we will be there for a few days in June. WE are doing a tour of the city with lunch at the market. Any thing else we should do or see. Any good hotels in the city to stay.

1. Walk on the ferry to Bainbridge Island or Bremerton and just make the round trip.
2. Fremont District - it's the center of the Universe and wonderfully fun! don't forget the troll under the bridge! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fremont,_Seattle,_Washington
3. Pioneer Square is beautiful, it's just a short walk south of the Pike Place Market. I wouldn't go there after dark though...
4. RIDE THE DUCK!! RIDE THE DUCK!! Seriously, you won't regret it!
5. Visit the Ballard Locks and have lunch or dinner at Palisades.
6. Capitol Hill is very artsy/punk/gay fun shops, good food, etc.
7. edited to add: how could I forget the EMP!! Don't miss it, it's amazing for any music fan.

Have fun!!

thanks sounds good. WE have the ducks here in MA, but have never been on them. It looks like fun.

My brother lives there and when we visited over Christmas we went to a tour of a chocolate factory. It was no Willy Wonka, but it was interesting. Not much was going on due to the holiday, but we got to eat lots of chocolate.

The SciFi museum at the EMP is cool. They are the same ticket.

The Ducks are a real HOOT. Last year we took a Grayline tour up to Mt. Rainer for $25 with a AAA discount, it was for 10 hours and we enjoyed it alot. In fact when we go back this summer for another Alaskan Cruise we will be taking it again. Thanks for the idea of doing the locks, we will look into it.

I don't know if you will have a car, but the Museum of Glass in Tacoma is really, really cool. I think it's maybe a 45 minute drive or so from downtown Seattle. And, even though I'm not much of an airplane fanatic, I really like the Museum of Flight, which is near the airport. It's really well done and HUGE. You could do both in one day, as they're both right of I-5, so you don't have to go out of your way.
