Its that time of the year again! Yes-Its Election week/Teacher Convention week in New Jersey. How many are going on the Nov 2th Magic Eastern Cruise. You out-of-staters can reply also but you'll be outnumbered on this cruise. Yo! Hope you like a boatload of new Jerseyians.....!!!

There was a thread a while back for Nov 2nd and there were many of us. Last year when we were in WDW for that week we ran into neighbors, team mates and so many others. It became comical everytime someone was picked to go on stage. When they asked where they were from it seemed always NJ. My kids are thrilled that if they meet someone in the clubs chances are they can see them again because they could possibly live close by.

I must thank our board of education for having their convention every year and giving us a week in November where we can travel with our family and not have to deal with the missed school work, crowds, heat and travel at a discounted rate. (Somehow I don't think they took that into consideration when they schedule the conferences.. but thank you just the same)

We'll be there. Yes, there was a thread several weeks ago about this cruise, and almost everyone who posted is from New Jersey! :p We, of course, are DIFFERENT  We are from Raleigh, North Carolina. We are looking forward to cruising with all of "ya'll" and meeting a bunch of new friends from the north.

You'll know it's us by the southern accents! :teeth:

I think there is another family from out west who will be on the same cruise.

Yes, it certainly will be New Jersey week! We will be there, my parents, us, and my 3 kids (13yo and twin 6yos). It is great that we can take a week to go somewhere and only miss 2.5 days of school. Even if we have to bring homework with us, it will be worth it.

We are from the Cherry Hill area. Where are all of you other Jersey folks from?

It's getting closer and closer..... is everybody ready? :p

Only 51 days and counting. We booked our cruise 2 years ago and it seemed far away at the time but it is almost here. We are going with our Disney club (NFFC - Jersey shore chapter) and have about 125 people booked (all but 8 in our group are from New Jersey). We also chose this week because of teachers week.
See you all soon. By the way our club went during teachers week Nov. 2000 and it was great.

To add a little enjoyment to your cruise there is a shuttle launch scheduled for that day!

Count us in too...we are my DH, DS-9 and DD-6 from central NJ. It's definetly going to be a Jersey affair...but I am still looking forward to meeting some friends from around the country. I'll be looking for you ( or should I say listening for you Eisai Babe).

We are spending some time at WDW before we depart so my countdown is even shorter. See you all soon!

An added benefit! Any idea whether it's a morning, afternoon, or evening launch?

Sounds to me like I'll be the last person left in New Jersey!

I can't go until December, but I have a full month of vacation then (not all Disney, unfortunately)!

Beth

Anyone NOT from NJ except us and Eisai Babe????? :D

Unfortunately we'll miss 6 days of school. but are excited none the less.

No word on the times yet,it is usually announced two weeks from launch date. The launch on Oct 2 is between 2pm and 6pm EDT so it could be in that time frame also.

I couldn't find that there is a launch on Nov. 2. I saw October second and not before Nov. 10. We'd love to see one though. Hopefully I was reading the wrong website.

We live in Monmouth County NJ (DH, DS 6 and DD4) and we are travelling with 3 other families from Central Jersey. I can't believe it is only seven weeks from tomorrow!

We are also from New Jersey (East Brunswick) and will be on the Nov. 2 cruise. My dh, ds-7, and I are all first timers and can't wait for this trip!! Can't believe it is almost here! We were in Disney this week last year and it was fun to see so many Jersey people. Looks like this cruise will be the same.

JoanneTK- I had to respond...we're from Franklin Park :) And

mattall - we used to live in Middletown. I guess it's going to old home week. The one good thing is if the kids make friends ...they will certainly be able to see them again - but with my luck, my kids will make friends with someone from Alaska :)

Joanne TK and Anna b-
My ds is 6 1/2 and we live in Manalapan so maybe they will hook up. I used to live in Franklin Park when I first got married too. Its a small NJ world!!!

=============================================

We won't be too hard to hear either! I'm wondering......do I need to teach my DS12 how to speak northern? :teeth: I've worked with lots of people from the New Jersey area, so I understand it (and can even read it) but I'm worried about my son.
(Hope you all understand I'm just kidding.)

Can't wait to go!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Mattall, It looks like our sons will be together in the club. Mine just turned 7 in July, so they are very close in age.
AnnaB, How old are your children?
It would be great if the kids became friends. Both Manalapan and Franklin Park are not far from us.

Eisai Babe: I'll be bringing a 12 year old son also, so there will be someone who sounds familiar in the club. Do ya'll think our drawl will really give away which 2 families aren't from New Jersey?

Oh come on YOUS GUYS we really don't have an accent in Jousey:)
...my son is 9 and my dd is 6. Neither of them know we are going on the cruise. They think after or trip to WDW we will be driving home..we'll actually be driving to the port. I can't wait to see their faces when they see the ship.
I can't believe how close it is now. I think I have everything I need with a few exections....I still need to get the over the door hanger -has anyone seen where I can get one ?
